Starting Pitching

T. Wakefield (2-0) 1.37 ERA

S. Kazmir (0-1) 4.80 ERA

 

We get to see Kazmir again but this time in his home park. Once again I don't think he can contain our offense and Wake as well as the rest of our staff has been brilliant as of late.

just heard on sportscenter that the devil rays lead the AL in batting avg with .288 but have only scored 77 runs. The sox have hit .263 while scoring 87 runs so far.

Let's go Wakefield, Let's go Sox! I'd like to see us keep up that AL East lead. Also to note: Texas Rangers begin a 3 game set at New York tonight...the Rangers have the bats to win it, the pitching just needs to hold up. Hopefully Kevin Brown pitches bad tonight.

So far Wake has benn phenomanal but he is in a dome tonight which worries me.

 

Shouldn't be a problem, It is gunna be dry so the knuckler will have movement. And also remember back a few years...Wake had a no-no goin until like the 8th or somethin.

 

Oh yeah, forgot to say, it's kinda weird that I'm worrying more about the Orioles losing than the Yankees :lol:

 

And also: nothing against anyone, but if you don't know how to start threads with pictures you probably shouldn't, it's better to see the picture of someone than just the stats...it gives the post a boost in its dullness...so, here's the official start:

The O's travel to Toronto tonight for a 3-game series...they're both close behind us....can't exactly root for either team. Let's hope Toronto takes 2/3 I guess.

Eh, come on...I agree on the 'f' Bellhorn, because I'm not too happy on the way he plays, but I'm looking at Embree's stats prior to the game, and in 7.1 IP he's given up 4 ER...that's not horrible by any means. (He does need to improve, though)

 

I was watching the game also, and I'm upset....but it's a long season, and there is still two games left this series. We'll be alright....tonight just wasn't Wakefield's night, and it took us a while to start hitting. Schil is on the mound tomorrow.

All Embree does is pitch fastballs right down the middle of the plate...he has to stop that. I mean I'm not too mad about tonight's loss...I knew it was over when Bellhorn got picked off of 2nd base in the 3rd. You learn from this loss, and move on.

 

Our offense...where the f*** has it gone?

 

Embree can probably be good he just needs more pitches and not pitch it down the middle every f***ing time. People are going to hit HRs.

 

Tito...why not Timlin? Why not Foulke? Why not anyone but Embree? Goddamn...

 

Oh well, you can't win all games vs a team...even if they are the D-Rays.

"The Terminal" is a good movie, though. I don't think we should find a new admin....yet. ;)

 

Maybe we can put him on probation or something. And if he tells us tomorrow that he watched 'Gigli' instead of the game, well, we'll know what to do.
