Curt Schilling gave up seven runs in six innings in a rehabilitation start for Boston's Triple-A Pawtucket farm team Thursday, then said he's ready to start for the Red Sox next week against the New York Yankees at Fenway Park.

''I felt great,'' he said. ''Going into today, I wanted to get mentally ready. I stretched it out. No fatigue. I felt strong. I'm going to go out and compete against the Yankees on Wednesday. I'll be ready.''

So what, he got rocked....believe it or not, there are some pretty decent players in AAA. He'll start next week and hopefully get back to his old self. I see Schilling as a pitcher that has to get up for big games. I'd be more worried about the starts by David Wells and Matt Clement myself. Neither one looked very impressive. I guess only time will tell.

By the way, Mark Prior didn't look too great either in his rehab for the AAA Iowa Cubs. Try 7 runs on 9 hits in 5 innings. Plus he plunked a batter.

Mariano Who? Shut your mouth, DADDY'S talking

Yea but Mariano didn't pitch like that to a MINOR LEAGUE team you idiot. Schilling is supposed to be good and he gets 11 hits and 7 runs from a minor league team. That's alright the Yankees will be Schilling's daddy this year. Because everytime he pitches against them their gonna match him up with Johnson and Johnson will dominate.
