I was so psyched the Red Sox picked up Dave Roberts for a bargain before trade deadline.

Did you see him score from 2nd base tonight and his steal?

The Dodgers were stupid to get rid of him. I live in Cleveland. I watched him come up with the Guardians. When he played for LA, he was tutored by Maury Wills in regards to being a leadoff guy and scoring runs.

He's only had 2 bases so far for the sox though. I expect and hope for that to change. Wasn't he 33/34 for steals with the Dodgers (I got this from a friend, so I'm not sure of its validity).

everybody at the yankee board thought that SB was harmless, I knew it was the beginning of the end unfortunately.

How can tying run in scoring position with 1 out be harmless? Stupid Yankee fans...

The depth this team has is really remarkable and Roberts ia a big part of it. As soon as Trot walked in the 9th I was screaming for Roberts to pinch run, and Tito sent him out. All the "defensive purposes" moves in the 9th were great...three gold glovers in the infield.

They said it on the TV...

It's not so much bad luck as lack of effort. We don't even try to steal enough. I mean Damon, a former 4o base stealer only has 17 this year. 17!!! He should have at least 25 by now. And Roberts should probably have about five in his own right. Only recently have the Sox tried to utilize the speed they have.

you can have pavano and beltran. i don't see why the yankees really need beltran. their offence is perfectly capable. i mean seriously, jeter, a-rod, sheffield, giambi (when healthy of course) and matsui and that's not enough? i guess i'll never understand the way you yankee fans think.

i'm perfectly happy with damon, manny, ortiz and nixon.

as for pavano, take him. i'de much much rather have a rotation of pedro, schilling, clement, arroyo and kim (if he can get himself back together).

don't ever try to get into a yankee fans head then. We need beltran because of his glove, not his bat. His good batting is just an added bonus. If we have a capable fielder, we win last nights game.

pavano stinks

Are you serious? Pavano is one of the leading Cy Young candidates in the NL with Clemens and Schmidt, I wouldn't say he sucks.

He is 17-6 with a 2.98 ERA and a WHIP of 1.18 those are pretty great numbers if you ask me.

You're just like Empire you just make these statements and you don't back them up with any fact, you just say he sucks and you don't say why.

god forbit that the yankees don't have gold glovers at every position. i'de like to see you go out there and do what kenny loften has done and still can do. he missed ONE ball and you guys make him sound like the worst fielder to ever live.
