Foulke's been stinking it up lately. Although all Francona will do is give him a hug and kiss in the clubhouse, I want fans opinions.

I voted setup.

i vote set-up, but I in my heart I wish they would f*** shoot him and hit embree by accident.

I try so hard to be objective--but man, our bull pen sucks.

I am starting to think theo might just be a big f***ing moron.

Schilling, schmilling....he's great okay.

Nomar is crying like a little bitch.

Pokey cant hit for beans. Leskanic, kim, etc...mendoza...millar, blowhorn...

mueller's good but come on.

What the f***.

Franconca is jackass.

You know yesterday was the worst yet. Seattle sucks so bad, and they BEAT us.

Remy is dying to just rip Franconca...the remdawg should be manager.

I hate the cliche but if we dont win today...... :( ?????????????????????????

What wait till next year? We've had road troubles granted but the lineup is very good and the bullpen, behind Scott Williamson when he gets back should be very good again. We have 4 established pitchers Pedro, Schilling, Wake, and Arroyo. We could soon add one more. Quit pissing and moaning because this team will win and will make the playoffs. The Sox will go 7-1 over their next 8 games because we are returing to Fenway.

pissing and moaning. If they play many more games like yesterday I doubt we'll make th playoff. I hope your right abolut 7-1 but until we start winning on the road..things are going to start getting pretty ugly in the nation.

I agree about the starters but williamson is always injured and if he is the glue holding this bullpen together we are in deep s***.

Foulke is a big big problem. And if that homo franconca brings him in in the 8th one more time I swear I am going to throw my TV out the window.

I'll stop pissing and moaning when I see these douche bags starting playing and winning.

I would demote him to setup as well as making derek lowe closer and bringing a AAA starter up or trading for another starter

You guys are all nuts. He's the best pitcher in the bullpen. He's in a rut and the only way to get him past it is to pitch him. He'd have close to 25 saves by now if the games weren't always non-save situations.

I have to agree with RSR. Keith Foulke will be fine, give the guy a break. He's got a great ERA, he's just had a few missteps in the past few weeks. Besides, he's the best arm we have out of the bullpen.

I can't believe someone actually put "Cut Keith Foulke" as an option. If the Sox aren't going to cut BK Kim, they are DEFINITELY not going to cut Foulke. Come on now!

Kim needs to shape and add 5 MPH to his fastball...

Actually, we need to trade Kim's ass, I'm sick of that guy...and yes, I am still bitter about him flipping off the Fenway faithful last October.

Or does he Crespo...?

The Rockies have had preliminary discussions with a couple of teams about Larry Walker, but any deal would have to include Colorado taking back salaries so that it can get prospects. The Red Sox are among those interested, although they would have to have the Rockies take Byung-Hyun Kim, who makes $6 million in 2005, because Boston cannot take on Walker's entire $12.5 million next season. They are interested in Walker as a first baseman. The Red Sox's defensive problems at that position have led them to indicate to Houston that even if the 'Stros were to decide to move Carlos Beltran at the end of the month they need a first baseman, not an outfielder, allowing David Ortiz to DH.

This is from Peter Gammons ESPN.com column...even though he's wrong a lot of the time, I still love this guy.

You people get so irrational so quickly... Foulke is one of the top 3 closers in the game, just behind Gagne and Rivera. Relax people.

Close call for Keith last night...made Bret Boone look foolish up there with that strike 3 changeup though. We're gonna be alright fella's....just waiting to see who Theo brings in for bullpen support.

In your opinion, would you want Larry Walker?

I have no interest in obtaining Larry Walker. He's an injury liability and is aging quickly. I just wanted to show you that BK Kim wasn't completely without value.

OK,

I created the Thread, and let me defend it:

Everyone here realizes that none of us are going to get Theo's job. So, we don't HAVE to be 100% realistic in our posts (although most of the time, with some exceptions, I try to be as realistic and levelheaded as possible). I just saw a bunch of people ragging on Keith, so I made the poll because I like to see people's opinions on stuff (isn't that why we're all here anyway?)

I put "Release Keith Foulke" because I like to try to include EVERYTHING. Not that I wanted it to happen obviously, because I made my vote.

Keith Foulke is NOT a top 3 closer. Here are the closers that I believe are better than Keith: (in no particular order)

Eric Gagne, Mariano Rivera,John Smoltz,Trevor Hoffman,Billy Wagner.

He will be fine don't worry about him worry about never seeing BK in a red sox uni ever again Foulke is good he's jsut had a little bit of a bad streak not to mention he hasn't had enough games played as he needs.

keith foulke has never been a top 3 closer. he had a couple good years in oakland but i think that was his prime...his days in chicago seem to be catching up to him, but i do have faith in him for some reason

I really think somethong is wrong with Foulke (other than he sucks) he dosen't pitch like this he had 1 blown save last year I really think somethings wrong.
