Thought I'd step up to the plate and get this thread going.

 

While the thought of Lowe on turf always scares me, at least it's that funky new shag carpet that isn't quite so bad. Our defense has enough trouble without the ball taking any weird high hops. I think that as long as we avoid errors, we should be okay. As I recall, both of Lowe's last two starts involved multiple-error innings and unearned runs.

DAMN. The MLB Extra innings broadcast tonight is a Fox Sports Net - DRays feed... I don't mind watching the other teams broadcast sometimes because it offers some new perspective. But these guys SUCK. They sound like sad triple-A announcers. What exactly separates a Slider from a "Power" Slider anyway??????? AND WHO THE HELL CARES????

 

I now understand why nobody watches the DRays in Fla.

 

And why Remy, McDonugh/Orsillo, Joe and Jerry are so good.

I'm ok with this. I want to see a comeback. I also want to see the new guy pitch his first MLB game. His name escapes me.

I just realized why Zambrano doesn't give up hits - IT'S BECAUSE HE DOESN'T PITCH THE BALL. 8 Walks and hit batter. Ridiculous. And the sox only got 3 runs off this scrub.

 

As for D-Lowe - good luck resigning for 10 million a year. No, really, cause someone will pay you that.

7-3 with the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th still yet to play (batting against TB!).. Anyway, Lowe's a head-case. But the one thing about Lowe is he always, eventually, pulls his head out of his ass. He'll be good for around 12-15 wins, but he's also not a high priority F/A-wise. So jumping off the bandwagon isn't such a big deal.

 

Don't get me started on Bellhorn's "RBI". Ya know a single would have helped more.

What can I say,one bad start is understandable, two bad starts, ok it happens, 3 bad starts, your skating on thin ice, four straight bad starts, YOUR FREAKING HORRIBLE.

 

Damon + Lowe for Beltran, then shop around for a lefty starter later on with Kim. Teams will be looking for a young pitcher.

This reminds me of his implosion as a closer. He then came back and was dominant as a starter. Now he implodes again. Maybe he can be a set up man now?
