Swiharts not gonna be a bench guy. I would guess he starts in AAA as a catcher again and its going to be two of Leon, Vaz and maybe even Holaday if they wanna pay him arbitration. Unless Swihart looks a lot better behind the dish, i would guess at this point he will be penciled in as catcher in AAA to start 2017.

I trust they know what they are doing as far as How his knee is feeling. Like I said, IF that knee is good enough to not worry he should be in there. Good thing is we have opened up a nice lead in the division and can afford to bring him back slowly just to be safe.

What do you think they would, or should, offer Taz? Not sure I bring him back, but I would bring Koji back for a year. Maybe closer to 2-4M+Incentives

We have young for a RH replacement in the OF, Shaw, Holt and a couple middle IF options besides them to fill in short term if need be. Also Moncada, over the next year, may be in Boston. Why do we need Beltran? DH? Hes been a 300 hitter a good OBP again with 140 games, so he will have some value, even if year to year at this point in his career. How much do you think the Sox or another team would be willing to go to to get Beltran for a DH/1b type? Hes Still has 25+hr power so hes going to carry some value, even if just the AL.

Beni needs to get some more abs. If that knee is ok he needs to be in there vs every RHP and i wouldnt be hesitant to keep him in vs LHP too...kids a ballplayer.

Still dont like him.. Bullpen has looked extraordinary this month. Bats have come alive. Hopefully Farrell doesnt make as many bonehead moves so t our team can keep winning despite him:p

So is price, so is porcello...MVP type players get paid good money. Mookie will get paid, Xander will get paid...this is how it works. JH is a billionaire and already has showed he will go over the LT. So if hes not worried about his money why the hell are you? I think he knows what hes doing and can run finances better than you...When we signed him he could have got 5-6 guarenteed years somewhere else at less aav, but we wanted only 4 with a 5th vesting option so we paid a little more. Thats how Henry likes to do things it seems. Pay a little more for less guarenteed years...hes only 32 and is in phenominal shape. I think he will age well the next three years while salaries go sky high. His 22m may look good in three years.

Listen, I dont like his managing style. Bottom line. Pretty simple. I dont need words put in my mouth and everyone thinking my OPINION is wrong or trying to convince me otherwise. I dont give two shits about other managers. i know they all make mistakes. My OPINION is that ive never seen one manager make so many head scratching moves as Farrell has. And Im certainly NOT alone. Yes, he makes good moves too. Its not like every move he makes sucks and its not like I act that way. My opinion remains the same. Overall I dont like the way he manages a team. Not sure why thats so hard to grasp without everyone trying to convince me my opinion is wrong...

this isnt a comparison Slash...I dont like the way Farrell manages a game...although I do think Girardi is overall a better in game manager...every manager makes some bonehead moves, but Farrell takes it to a new level.Ive never complained this much about any manager

yeah, I get all that and Im not a happy camper IF that happens (retaining farrells managerial services). I dont like the guy.one.bit and i want to tear up his little notebook hes got his face in. IMO hes got very little feel for the game going on right in front of him. broadcaster are even questioning his moves and that never usually happens with the company guys... bottom line is I just dont like the way he manages a team. Tito was soooo much better IMHO. no , I dont want him back either..Just sayin.

Farrell needs to realize that some guys can actually hit the same side pitcher. Benni has looked good vs LHP. Overall better than JBJ I think..the smart move would have been to PH Young for JBJ vs Layne making Girardi swith pitchers one batter earlier. lets face it, Aaron f***ing Hill strikes fear in exactly zero pitchers, LH or RH, which is why bLayne was left in to face Hill. Young would have forced Girardi to switch. then Benni is up so he would have to go to a lesser LHP since they already used their main LH guy Layne...I just dont understand why Farrell doesnt see this. Girardi schooled his ass last night...Farrell got lucky Young was barely HBP and Betences was off his game because those first two PH moves by Farrell were absolutely ass backwards! the guy is clueless how to manage a game.

collapse...lol, now THATS doom and gloom. they are in first place and had a couple rough starts...collapse? walk of win by Hanley last night opening the divison lead... DESPITE Farrell once again thinking he HAS to hit a RH vs a LHP and vice versa.... Girardi schooled Farrell last night to get his matchup with Young. unfortunately for NY Young was HBP. Benni has good numbers vs LHP. there was no need to PH for him., Maybe Young for JBJ that way Girardi either has to switch to is RHP vs Young allowing Benni to hit vs RHP or let him pitch to Young and Benni... Hill strikes fear in no pitcher, LH or RH. Young does vs LHP. so OBVIOUSLY you PH young for JBJ first to make Girardi switch pitcher and giving benni a RHP or having Girardi make yet another move for a lesser LHP for Benni... Farrell hasnt a clue. he got lucky Betences was off his game. believe me, Im ecstatic they won, but I still want Farrell GONE after the season...Overall, the guys a tool when it comes to managing a game....

I say we have moved on from him because Moncada should be here full time no later than 2018. I believe Hes who they see as their 3b of the future. he needs some work on D and at the plate before hes ready for MLB, so that gives us maybe a year to move Panda. Hanley is fine at 1b. vs LH and RH. his splits are great and theres no need to interrupt his game to accommodate the fat man. Im not a big fan of platoons when they are not necessary. and NO, Panda at 1b is NOT necessary. If panda can play winter ball to show hes healthy that would be a plus. we could trade him in the winter or in ST at the latest. He was a bad signing from the start and just NOT a good fit here in Boston. a lot like AGon. he NEEDS to be out of Boston ASAP. Theres no place for him on this Red Sox team.
