    Thus far in the winter meetings, we learned the Sox are not pursuing the twins ace anymore!!! good start for us!

    Starting pitching depth chart, my best guess: 1) Crochet 2) Gray 3) Bello 4) Crawford 5) Sandoval 6) Oviedo 7) Early 8) Tolle 9) Dobbins 10) Harrison 11) Uberstine 12) Drohan 13) Perales 14) Witherspoon 15) Phillips 16) Eyerson the first 9 look pretty good. But the drop off from 1 to 2 is huge!! Arizona wants 2 pitchers for Marte. Seems like bello and cutter (or Oviedo) could get that deal done !!!!

    Deal breaker? No, nothing like that. only that Bres-slow singled out this guy for inclusion in the trade.

    I think the reliever is already 26 years old I would think bres-slow would push him to Boston pretty quickly

    We have an offer out therefor 4 years to Alonso. The market for Alonso is soft! if I were Alonso, I would leverage that offer to get an offer from the Mets!!

    I believe cora and bres-slow handled the Devers situation badly, no doubt! but Devers and his agent caused too much of a distraction to the team and organization for Bres-slow to allow Devers to stay. San Fran graciously rescued us!! this trade was a win for the Red Sox organization!!

    1.) bohm allows Mayer to slide to second base and bohm plays decent defense. 2.) painter has amazing stuff. Just needs to tighten up the secondaries after UCL surgery, 3.) matz does not have the strike out profile that bres-slow salivates over! Wilson did before he ran out of gas in August 4.) do we really want Casas spending time in Boston rebuilding his timing?? He looked awful last April and his timing is shot!!

    Nobody bats 1.000 in trades. I love the job bres-slow has done thus far

    Desperate Dave is bringing schwarber back and then going after Suarez. But he probably loses realmuto though. and when he loses realmuto, he will hunger for Duran at the top of his lineup every day!! bres-slow just has to be patient and see how schwarber falls!!!!

    I have always tried to surround myself with people much smarter than me!! An organization. Is only as strong as its weakest link!!! if I am the weakest link, then my organization is really good!!!!

    If we have an offer for 4 years out there for Alonso, then surely bres-slow out an expiration date on the offer??? Or did bres-slow put identical orders for schwarber and Alonso and first one to say yes by the expiration date wins???

    I did see a report that the Red Sox offered 4 years to Alonso!! I think bres-slow may have lost his mind doing that, but we shall see

    Injuries are a huge part of baseball!! And faulting the GM is a sad reality!!! Now some of the terrible scrap heap pitchers hang’em Chaim signed and hang’em Chaim trotting out the worst defensive team in the majors several years in a row, those moves fall into the stupid boneheaded GM moves. but injuries have always been and always will be a reality in this game!!! Nobody to blame.

    Never been a fan of schwarber or Alonso, but I think our offseason success or failure is tied to where schwarber signs !!

    Haha!! Cutter seems like a guy that could go to Tampa and win 12 games and bres-slow would be ripped for trading him!!!!
