If baltimore puts a 4 year deal on the table for similar money, I wonder what he decides??? Did the cubs really offer 5 years with Bregman??
  2. Larry Cook
Rumor has it, we have a 4 year offer to Alonso already on the table!

Cohen the Yankees reliever has really good stuff!!! Weissert could be hearing footsteps

Did we trade Grissom to the angels?? open up a spot on the 40 man roster???
  5. Larry Cook
It looks like the Red Sox are trying to resign Bregman and going toe to toe with the cubs for him! Mayer - 2b stoey - SS bregman - 3b

I like your thinking. Someone else posted that Marte is plan b if Alonso does not sign!!!
  7. Larry Cook
1.) we sign Alonso for 1B. Casas to Worcester. 2.) we sign short stop Kim and move story to 2nd base. Mayer to 3b. Improves infield defense a lot!!! 3.) trade Duran and young pitchers for a number 2 starter!!

I think Cleveland needs an outfielder really badly

Arizona and Boston talked Marte and exchanged names has been reported. what if bres-slow is trying to expand the trade? Is there someone else Arizona has that would interest bres-slow??

Thus far in the winter meetings, we learned the Sox are not pursuing the twins ace anymore!!! good start for us!

Starting pitching depth chart, my best guess: 1) Crochet 2) Gray 3) Bello 4) Crawford 5) Sandoval 6) Oviedo 7) Early 8) Tolle 9) Dobbins 10) Harrison 11) Uberstine 12) Drohan 13) Perales 14) Witherspoon 15) Phillips 16) Eyerson the first 9 look pretty good. But the drop off from 1 to 2 is huge!! Arizona wants 2 pitchers for Marte. Seems like bello and cutter (or Oviedo) could get that deal done !!!!

Deal breaker? No, nothing like that. only that Bres-slow singled out this guy for inclusion in the trade.
  13. Larry Cook
I think the reliever is already 26 years old I would think bres-slow would push him to Boston pretty quickly
  14. Larry Cook
So why did bres-slow push to include him in the trade?
  15. Larry Cook
I think Bregman is headed to the cubs schwarber should resign with the Phillies
  16. Larry Cook
    And Witherspoon

We have an offer out therefor 4 years to Alonso. The market for Alonso is soft! if I were Alonso, I would leverage that offer to get an offer from the Mets!!
  18. Larry Cook
What about the lefty reliever we got from Pittsburgh??
  19. Larry Cook
With anybody other than desperate Dave, he would be untouchable
  20. Larry Cook
I believe cora and bres-slow handled the Devers situation badly, no doubt! but Devers and his agent caused too much of a distraction to the team and organization for Bres-slow to allow Devers to stay. San Fran graciously rescued us!! this trade was a win for the Red Sox organization!!

1.) bohm allows Mayer to slide to second base and bohm plays decent defense. 2.) painter has amazing stuff. Just needs to tighten up the secondaries after UCL surgery, 3.) matz does not have the strike out profile that bres-slow salivates over! Wilson did before he ran out of gas in August 4.) do we really want Casas spending time in Boston rebuilding his timing?? He looked awful last April and his timing is shot!!
  22. Larry Cook
I am thinking we make 3 moves: 1.) we sign Alonso and Casas starts the year in Worcester. 2.) Duran for brohm and painter. 3.) resign Justin Wilson or sign another lefty reliever:

Nobody bats 1.000 in trades. I love the job bres-slow has done thus far
  24. Larry Cook
Desperate Dave is bringing schwarber back and then going after Suarez. But he probably loses realmuto though. and when he loses realmuto, he will hunger for Duran at the top of his lineup every day!! bres-slow just has to be patient and see how schwarber falls!!!!

I have always tried to surround myself with people much smarter than me!! An organization. Is only as strong as its weakest link!!! if I am the weakest link, then my organization is really good!!!!
