  1. How about moving Devers to DH? Bring up Mayers and turn him into a third baseman? He is supposed to be slow, so I do not see him as a SS in the big leagues. Or better yet, put him on 2nd base.
  2. Who would that be? I guess there are quite a few. Who is available? That would open the spot for the right handed bat.
  3. Our issue is and always has been pitching. The only times it wasn't was 2004, 2007, 2013 and 2018. [/b] This is what I would do: Put Pivetta in the BP. Keep Criswell in the rotation. Pivetta in the BP can be formidable and pitch up to three four innings every so often and that would rest the tired BP. I would not trade Abreu as he is quite young and could be a diamond in the rough. He could blossomed just like Duran has.
  4. O’Neil made two massive crappy plays in the outfield and was not given an error.
  5. Awesome win!!!!!!!! Does anyone know why Judge took three pitches down the middle. It was incredible!
  6. I suggest you guys go to bed.
  7. Gotta love how O’Neil threw the bat.
  8. Yes, they score the go ahead run on that needless throw.
  9. When Rafaela took that head first slide into 3rd base he slowed down to a crawl.
  10. OK, that sounds like a decent lineup. I believe Abreu needs coaching. He tends to swing for the fences or tries to pull the ball way too much. He seems to have a good eye at the plate and is often the victim of borderline balls that are called strikes. He needs to be a contact hitter too.
  11. Abreu, Yoshida, and Hamilton do not start today. Consider sitting down Smith.
  12. This is not rocket science. The Sox need pitching, pitching, pitching. A right hand bat would be nice. Trade Valdez. He can hit, but a poor fielder is devastating to the team . The Sox do not need people that cannot catch the ball unless they are Devers.
  13. What is wrong with Abreu? They are pitching him outside and he is toast. IMO he is trying to pull the ball or lift the ball. Where is the hitting coach on this? Should he go back to triple AAA for a tune up.
  14. Hamilton and Valdez for a rental starting pitcher or a decent right hand bat. We still have speed with Romy or even Abreu.
  15. At least you get to see topless French (or any other kind) women in the Barcelona beaches.
  16. I am thankful Angel was not an angel behind the plate.
  17. Maybe Bobby D will explode today and have a good day. After watching him it is obvious he comes to bat in a very tentative manner with no confidence. He needs to think FU’d and just hit.
  18. On a positive note the Red Sox are just a 1/2 game out of a wildcard spot.
  19. The grand slam is on Cora. He needs to develop a hook.
  20. Abreu could be a perennial monster hitter if he copies Casas with regards to plate discipline. As of now he has a pretty good eye at the plate. He has power, can run, a good arm, and so far can catch the ball. He was lost in spring training and when the season started. Hopefully he is coached properly. I don't think Valdez will get better as a hitter, but it seems his defense has improved.
  21. Does anyone know how starting pitchers get hurt between starts? Working out? Warming up? Fall at home? I have no clue.
  22. And then Wong (the little guy) hits one out
