Concerts are off the charts, but what gets me more is the cost of hotel rooms near the concert. I saw some old guy named Elton, and the hotel rooms went up close to $300 the night of the concert.

The only reason you would get rid of them at this time would be that you don’t want to pay them, so you would have to take that up with JH.

How Fisk left town was not a good look either, but the Red Sox are still standing.

Not really, and I wouldn’t think how much some other form of entertainment would cost if I decided to by a ticket to get into Fenway, but if it interest you there is nothing wrong with that.

You mean like Mookie? The Red Sox survived without him, but because of the way baseball is today you have to pay them $300M+ to keep them, and so far the Red Sox haven’t ponied up money to keep either Bogey, or Raffy. Time will tell if they do, but I’m not counting on it.

You have already raised this point before, but it doesn’t change the fact that Fenway is at the top.

If Devers was traded then wouldn’t you need a replacement? We’ve talked about this before that if the Red Sox don’t plan on shelling out the big bucks do you trade him now, or just let him walk out the door? Same with Bogey.

Yes, and the fans will even pay more than they did before.

And what are the fans doing for themselves? No matter what happens the fans will go running back with open arms.

I would agree with bringing up the bottom of the salary scale, and taking some off the top, but you know that those at the top would never go for that.

If there is not a max salary then why does there have to be a min salary of say $1M? Just asking for a different point of view?

I don’t think there would have been an MLB as a business without the regular players just like there wouldn’t be an MLB as a business without the owners. That’s the way I look at it. Just a point of view that I don’t say is right, or wrong.

I have said repeatedly that I don’t have sympathy for either side, and I spend more time targeting the players, because most on here seem to be on their side, which they are pampered, and hero worshipped enough.

There is lots of more important jobs out there that get nowhere near the money that these guys get to play a kids game top 800, or not.

It doesn’t matter to me why the ticket prices keep going up. Both sides are greedy, and I’m not all that needy.

Billionaires, and millionaires involved in a game. It’s the principle of the thing that ticket prices keep rising. Me not having gone to Fenway in 20 years has nothing to do with it, and even I had a free pass I would still complain about ticket prices. It WON’T go back, because the fans will keep on paying no matter how high prices go. Boston ranks where in ticket prices?

Yes, but that doesn’t mean anyone has to like it. I could care less how much the owners, or players make in the long run, but I do care when ticket prices keep going up, and up, and up. Where do the Red Sox rank in ticket prices?
