That’s what I’ve been saying for weeks now. Both sides are greedy, and BOTH sides are at fault, and BOTH sides don’t give a damm about anyone else, but themselves.

The fact that people on here are against Mazz makes it so much better. Once again credit to John Henry. Way to go John!

Once again a day late, and a dollar short, and over analyze 101. I’ve already said that poor, poor, and pitiful we’re my words.

I doubt he will, but he has bashed the Red Sox at times for years, so it will be very interesting to see how much Mazz will tone it down.

I grew up with Gowdy, Ned Martin, and Ken Coleman, and no OB is nothing close to them, or as good as Osillo for that matter. Millar should be better than Burks, or Lenny D, and Wake.

Mazz would be a breath of fresh air compared to some of the hometown yuckers they have on there now. Let’s get this baseball thing settled now. Can’t wait.

Players going out on their own would be a lot more complicated then people think, and also a lot more expensive than people think, because lots, and lots of expenses would have to be paid out, but let’s go, and give it a try. A barnstorming league? No thanks.

I’m all for the players forming their own league, and paying ALL the expenses to see how it all works out. 100% let’s go, and no I don’t think if that happens that the present owners form another league of so called scabs.

Where does it say that I said that you called the players poor, and pitiful? Those are my words, and have said right along that with an average salary of 4+M the players are not poor,poor players, so you are WRONG that I said you did. I also said I agree with everything you said about the owners, and what other people have said about the owners too. Yes the players earn what they make, and the owners make much more, but where would each be without the other? I would be all for the players starting their own league, and paying all the expenses, and see how it goes. I also wouldn’t care if the players played, or not this season, because the greed does need to be checked on both sides. Soto turned down $300M+, because he wants more, and some owner will offer more. Filthy greed on both sides.

They don’t have another offer in mind at the moment, but I’m sure there will be more negotiations, and offers at a later date on both sides. When that will be is anyones guess.

Moon I agree with everything you have said about the owners, and along what others on here have said as well, bit where I differ is on the poor, poor pitiful players, which I don’t believe they are. This isn’t the final final offer, but just the last offer for now.

The owners already have businesses outside of baseball, so it is not the same thing. I’ve already said the players are the show.

And like I keep saying the players are not poor poor players. Even the lowest salary ones.

I have said repeatedly that I blame BOTH sides, and have no sympathy for either one, and I hope both sides lose money, and fan support in all of this.

They can dig in all they want, but they need the money more than the owners. Blame the owners all you want, but I don’t think it fazes them one bit.

I’ll even agree with that, and like Tony Mass just said the fans should be pissed if no agreement is reached today, and not just pissed, but really pissed, and should ask what’s in it for them? Remember for the most part it’s Millionaires, and Billionaires in it for themselves, and NEITHER side cares about the fans, and when it’s over both sides will open their arms, and the fans will jump back in like nothing has happened.

I saw Ellsbury play his first Sea Dogs game years ago, and he went from prospect to a pretty good ball player, but not all Sea Dogs make it. The Sea Dog Biscuit is the big attraction to me.

Somebody has to instead of all the poor poor pro player talk. I’ve repeatedly said I’m not on either side, and I’m not, but both sides need each other. The players are the show, but they can’t put that show on without the owners. If they could it would be a different story.
