  1. Yes, but they are still paying Bradley, and he’s not on the team. The team could have still gone out, and spent more than $1.9M on anything if they wanted to no matter who was on the team.
  2. Barnes is not as good as he once was when he got his extension, but he is better than some.
  3. Money could have been better spent on JBJ, Story Land, and Paxton just to name a few. Bloom has had three years to work on all the expiring contracts, and to get Raffy signed, and has done nothing in that area. To not Blame Bloom for the current state of the team, and blame others is closing your eyes, and looking the other way, and think no one will notice. Wrong! Plenty notice.
  4. Franchy usually hits well when he first comes back up, but it fades away quickly. Keep him in the outfield where?
  5. Same ole spin, and blame that we’ve heard many times over. Blame DD, and the budget. Outside of a few on here no one is buying what the Moon is cooking. Bloom is in charge, and Bloom is to blame, and if you don’t believe that ask Shaugnessy, and the millions, and millions of Red Sox fans in Red Sox Nation.
  6. I think a complete house cleaning is in order.
  7. No one cares about that point when it’s over. That point would be to care if the Sox had a chance, but it’s over. Put a fork in them they’re Done!
  8. They already have been doing that with Franchy Strange Glove, and Duran the Butterfly Man
  9. 8 games back in the all important L column, but yes it is over, and has been pretty much since the trade deadline.
  10. You can add Whitlock to this bunch too, but that doesn’t offset all the trash Bloom has collected. Seen the standings lately?
  11. Maybe the American Pickers can find Bloom something along the way
  12. Per Alex Speier the Red Sox have given up 320 runs since the beginning of July. This is the result of what Bloom has assembled. This is just not dumpster diving, but some that had already been dumped out.
  13. Guys that stick like throwing spaghetti against the wall? Bloom’s been doing that for 2 years now.
  14. Yes I know, but the small sample size example. Could he do this all year? I want someone if needed that could pitch 3 out of 4 days. One inning saves with an occasional 4 out save is the ideal closer. Then you need a couple of set up guys, and a couple of long relief.
  15. Who’s pretending that Kelly, and Ort are permanent additions? I’ve seen enough of Ort if it’s only for 1 day. As 700 would say a ham, and egger.
  16. The Red Sox have a lot better chance going 2-12 than they do going 12-2. Come on man!
  17. I’m all for the move, but are you any better with Ort?
  18. The closer is still the closer, and I think having a good one is more important than most. I know the Red Sox tried to get through the postseason last year without one, but really how many good teams do you see without a good closer? When I said to label the rest of the BP anyway you want I was referring to the setup 6,7, and 8 innings guy. I know it’s good that Whitlock can go more than 1 inning, but then you loose him for another 2-3 days, which doesn’t make sense to me. I haven’t heard Cora use relief aces, so I’ll just keep the setup guys to describe them.
  19. Bringing Ort back up is just another example that Bloom has no idea what he’s doing, and hasn’t all year with the BP. Might as well bring Hansel back.
  20. I agree 100% that to go into next season counting on Schreiber to duplicate this year, and to count on Houck as the full time closer would be a mistake. I trust Whitlock more than either one of them, and even then you don’t know if he could close either. I think getting a reliable closer would be the best way to go. Label them anyway you want, but to me they are just part of the BP.
  21. Anther great 2-4 home stand against the Div Standings update. 4 games under 500. 6 games back in the L column for last place in the Div. 8 games back in the L column for the last Wild Card spot.
  22. Well done.
  23. Pivetta said on his post game interview that he hasn’t shown up against div opponents this year. Nobody else has either.
  24. That booth has gone down hill since Orsillo left, and without the REM Dog pretty much 2nd, or 3rd rate. kind of like the the team.
  25. Sounds like a house cleaning to me.
