  1. Funny, but I thought Bloom, and Cora knew more about which move would better position the Red Sox to make a run at the playoffs, so if Kike plays in the IF that must be it, and that’s where Kike would rather play anyways. Didn’t ticket prices get raised this year? I believe they did courtesy of JH, and no a good GM would have gone out, and gotten a reliable 1B, and CF last year, and not just watched the circus continue for 2 months, which Bloom did, and not relied on 39, and 40 of the 40 man.
  2. What position Kike plays in 2023 is not going to make, or break the 2023 Red Sox. Kike would rather play the IF anyways, and there are bigger problems really than where Kike plays. Oh no who’s going to go off that precious 40 man to make room for Duvall.
  3. And higher ticket prices to boot. What a deal!
  4. If it happens fine, but reports of being in on Duvall have been out there for a few weeks now, and nothing’s happened along with being in on a number of IF. I’ll believe it when it happens. I keep hearing all the Duran talk too just like last year like he’s in their plans, and I don’t believe he is just like last year, and just like last year I don’t think he is used unless a very last option.
  5. Sounds like good arm, but not that good a C, and does K a lot.
  6. $2M if makes Red Sox roster. Can opt out June 1, and Jul 1 if not on roster, and return to FA.
  7. Baez was your guy. Yes I agree Story would have gotten more if healthy, but he wasn’t, and I don’t know if there were many serious offers out there besides the Sox for the obvious reason.
  8. He didn’t get what others got last year, and he’s not, and wasn’t healthy, and he not in todays market.
  9. I don’t think Kike will flip anywhere, so wherever he plays he stays. I don’t think Duran is in anyone’s major plan either just like last year, and will only play if everything else fails. I don’t see Valdez in any kind of plan either, and would only be a last option kind of thing too.
  10. I still think he will be the starting 2B just like he was going to be, before Story came up lame. Of course you would need a plan B, and C for backup.
  11. With it Story got more than he should have. When JH opens his checkbook I don’t think he would be alright with paying someone who sits out a year whether it be Story, or Sale.
  12. They were supposedly in on Suzuki last year too.
  13. And Yoshida was signed after the botched Bogey fiasco.
  14. I’m sure all losing last place teams worry about who’s on the tail end of the 40 man. Not!
  15. I think Bloom is just doing his signature move in trying to look for that third option in the fork in the road. It worked out so good last time.
  16. The Red Sox have more problems than worrying who’s on the back end of the 40 man.
  17. Story changed Bloom’s plans, but this whole IF situation is turning out harder than it should be it appears.
  18. Andrus probably wants to much money, and more than a year.
  19. Right, and the story goes that Story was ramping up his throwing when he developed the pain in his elbow.
  20. It’s a very debatable subject if Bloom is a good exec, or not. Still plenty of questions, but very few answers.
  21. Stupid all the way around. I agree, and all for the low sum of $140M.
  22. Do you know what the medical reports on Story said? No you don’t, and neither do I, but Bloom is keeping quiet if there were any concerns, or not, and it sounds like a. Cover up to me. It would be awfully easy to do to say nothing suspicious showed up on Story’s physical, but Bloom hasn’t done that. I wonder why.
  23. Trevor played a full season, and Sale pitched in 2019. These things don’t have to go all at once. No misinterpretation on Bagwell, and Biggio. Like they said at some point he would need surgery, which he did.
  24. No, but even if it was they were right just like Bagwell, and Biggio were right, and I don’t think you had to be any kind of medical expert to be right either.
  25. Good one, but #1 they were right, and both know a little bit about arms, elbows, and what it takes to throw a baseball around the diamond. I’m guessing both have had, and seen plenty of medical opinions in their careers.
