  1. I’m only interested it what the Red Sox have done, or is doing. If you want to worry about what the other teams do go for it.
  2. We’re not talking about the 29 others.
  3. Bloom gets no credit for Mayer if he works out, or not. 3 teams passed on him first, and Bloom just took the BPA.
  4. Take Mayer out of the rankings, and it wouldn’t be as high either.
  5. Agree, but some will say, but Bloom has built the farm system up, which is higher ranked now, but it’s just not time to go all in yet, but maybe in 2024, or 2025. Like I keep saying Anything short of a postseason appearance is a failure, and a last place finish is even worse.
  6. Farm building is fine, but that can only get you so far, and just, because the farm is higher ranked today than when Bloom took over doesn’t mean it is good enough to lead to success.
  7. Well said, and the starting pitchers back in those days were as well known as were the sluggers, and there were some HOF sluggers back in those days. No Red Sox team that ended up winning a championship under Henry faced anything of the likes of Gibson. The A’s run of championships of the early 70’s, which was finally ended by the 75 Red Sox had some pretty good pitching itself with, Catfish, Blue Moon, and Vida. .
  8. Joe Rod back on IL. Another great pickup by Bloom Best news of all? Ort is back!
  9. He was out there for the taken for a long time too.
  10. I wouldn’t fire Bloom, because I wouldn’t have hired him in the first place, and I’ve said that since the day he was hired. That would be AWESOME!
  11. And the Red Sox knew he had trouble throwing his last year in Colorado.
  12. Zack Britton is available for the BP. He’s a LHP that the Red Sox need, and he’s the type that Bloom likes. Hurt, and cheap.
  13. Your right on spending on position players, but Bloom just can’t to get himself out of the bargain basement when dealing with the rotation.
  14. I year was the factor.
  15. Cheaper dictated Kluber, and you got what you paid for.
  16. Well said.
  17. Yes, and a Cheap contract.
  18. There was all kinds of talk on here after Bogey left town on who the Red Sox were going to get to play SS, and that was before Story came up lame, and most on here wanted him to stay at 2B. Well Story came up lame, and Kike went to SS who have never played more than 24 games in a season there before. Not a good plan to me.
  19. Hard to say. Cora could have told Bloom his boy Kike could handle it, or it is Bloom once again being cheap.
  20. The fact that Sale was going to be here, or in most cases not be here made Evol, and Wacha all the More reason to be here.
  21. I don’t care about changing yours at all. I’m just voicing mine. You are free to voice whatever you want even if out on an island by yourself like with RAF coming up to play SS like you voiced yesterday.
  22. I would’ve worried more about Sale hitting the injured list than Wacha, or Evol. Whoops he did!
  23. All I care about is what’s going on at the moment. Wacha, and Evol are producing, and Kluber is not.
  24. He still has upside compared to Kluber.
