  1. I never said they were great and bringing up titles is nothing more than moving the goalposts. You stated "any team would have a difficult time overcoming the number of injuries that we've had, no matter how well the team is constructed.", I was merely pointing out that it's not entirely true.
  2. Hang 'em chaim was never the top dog in tampa, so how can we be sure what was his doing?
  3. +1.......
  4. The Yanks have been decimated by injuries many times over the last 10 season but have yet to finish under .500, much less end up in last place.
  5. I don't think they really bring back much in major league talent. If I were the GM I would rather parlay them into minor leaguers with a higher upside than a major leaguer with a limited upside. It's not like the sox are going anywhere this season anyway.
  6. I feel like we have plenty of guys with this profile in our system
  7. Tremendous split, almost like 2 completely different players.
  8. That's rich coming from you, bellhop.
  9. Well, some places actually do have basements in Florida. I thought you still lived in your mom's basement in dorchester......
  10. Hardly, Ken.
  11. I'm not too concerned with losing Wesneski Especially with the 5yrs of control of Effros considering we will be shedding Chapman and Britton this off season.
  12. It's more of a long weekend to see a concert and a quick visit with family for Thanksgiving. Still better than you sitting in the basement screaming upstairs "Mom, the meatloaf!"
  13. Ha, maybe like one looks at a car wreck when driving by on the highway. Don't break your arm patting yourself on your back....
  14. As much as it pains me to say it, go sox!
  15. Sources confirm the padres have acquired josh hader from the brewers.
  16. Another swing and a miss, Ken. This year I have been to NYC, Philadelphia, the Bahamas, Weeki Watchee Springs, Aruba, Ireland and Key West. I have another trip booked for the Keys in October and maybe a trip to Atlantic City in November. Where have you been this year?
  17. Swing and a miss on all accounts, Ken. I live on the beach and I work from home. I deal with very little traffic and almost no iguanas. What is the excuse for the drivel you post on here daily?
  18. Don't forget recent HOF inductee Gil Hodges!
  19. According to what I have read he is on the taxi squad for this trip to houston. Speaking of houston, I was just informed by my company that I won't have to attend the convention this year in houston. Thank god, what an awful city.
  20. Nah, that side of the state is way too boring for me.
  21. Wouldn't you then subtract hernandez's numbers in the 47 games he played at 2nd in 2021 and arroyo's 2021 HR's (6) and RBI's (25) from story's to get a fairer assessment? Not to mention I believe arroyo also had a 0.00 ERA for the sox last year!
  22. I know the city pretty well having visited numerous times. And the same could be said for many places, that they are safe 90% of the time. Doesn't mean I am going to run out to spend the day in Liberty City or East New York in Brooklyn anytime soon.
  23. Why do some thin-skinned henny youngman wannabe posters care who responds to me?
  24. As Chris Cotillo of Mass Live reported, the red sox are having catching prospect ronaldo hernandez to travel with them to houston on the taxi squad. That means he’ll be available to play for the team should a trade go down.
