Okamoto is still out there, and he's a better all-around player than Alonso. OK can play Ok at 1B and 3B. And he doesn't strike out.
The Sox value versatility, and god bless them, may actually be looking for more contact than another all-or-nothing swinger. More likely, they're looking to spend less on OK than Polar Bear.
Of course, they can still sign Bregman, who we already know fits in... and then trade for Marte. Or Donovan. Or Diaz.
But if they pivot to Suarez, I'll throw up in mouth.
