    Id like to chime in with my opinion...if we trade Mookie, I just dont see him coming back to Boston as a FA. I know he's apparently all about the money (I find that sad to be honest), but how often is someone traded & then comes back the next year as a FA?

    I dont see it in 10-D. I didnt watch many games at all this year, but sometimes he seems distracted or just doesnt really give a rats a$$. He may blossom when he's 30, but I would trade him if we can keep Mookie.

    I believe Cashner has an innings or appearances clause that triggers his contract for 2020. Does anyone know what it is? Also, since he cant possibly be worse than Johnson or Velazquez (both should be gone!), what are the odds that he returns a a 5th starter, or even a BP arm?

    Except that at no time this season has this team even remotely shown the ability to go 20-0. Or even 15-3, etc. And now we learn that Sale is to the IL.

    Maybe..its not that he doesnt care, and neither is he an idiot....Maybe ownership is dictating what he could do payroll-wise? I agree its very strange for a team that a good portion of the year was always within striking distance of the playoffs, to not acquire anyone really.
