  1. I just read its 160 for 5! I think thats a massive overpay...mostly due to the years
  2. THIS.....now we have many young pitchers we can trade for a true #2 along with Duran if they choose.
  3. It says the sox picked up the mutual option...does that mean that they added that 3rd year?
  4. good luck to you,,,may be time to read the writing on the wall
  5. I agree...plus the kids got a taste of playoff baseball....that can only help them going forward
  6. Wrong. We have a lot of young platers who would benefit greatly from post season experience. If you think that players with no post season experience will be able to just step up when its decided that this is The Year, I think you are mistaken. Let the kids see what October baseball is all about.
  7. Well seeing as how the organization feted scummer Jerry Remy, I think they'll be ok with this guy.
  8. The one Im most reluctant to trade, and also the one that drives me bat $hit crazy the most..Pivetta. Try to extend Paxton for 2 yrs. Let Turners contract run its course..he is doing exactly what you got him for. If he's redundant next year, then you can swap him when this team will HOPEFULLY be a contender.
  9. I know it was deserved as he sucked for quite some time...BUT..read his comments. Im actually surprised/impressed at how eloquently he came across. He truly enjoyed the ride as a JAG in MLB & is still probably almost set for life financially. never forget him yelling at Sanchez..he wont either. Thanks for 2018 Brasier.
  10. 2018 was DD not Bloom...Bloom took over late in 2019 season...so he has done rather poorly.
  11. I feel an extension is in order!
  12. Marc Sullivan..Haywood's kid. I rest my case.
  13. I would give him the QO for many of the reasons stated...its only a slight overpay & just 1 yr, plus if declined, we get the draft pick. That being said....Im sure Im not the only one thats pretty much done waiting for him to blossom into "something special"...In my mind he's kinda like a left handed Bucholz....a very serviceable starter.
  14. Yeah..I guess that would be an inconvenient truth right? Mourn his passing & feel for his family, but I dont feel he was the great human being he's being made out to be.... Sorry.
  15. Wow..just checked..still hitting just .169 with 350 at bats....and he's been under 200 all year. is he still a major leaguer? man I am glad we passed on the extension.
  16. I agree...its at worthy of an asterisk...but tell that to LA fans, they think they actually won a world series.
  17. Im tellin ya, if you want a laugh, google some of the Yankee talkshows or whatever they are on YouTube...they are in full meltdown mode..saying things like "Why doesnt our team have a personality like the Red Sox with the laundry cart/etc".....its almost as good as October '04.
  18. Anyone else surprised that after more than 25% of the season, Mookie is hitting .259 with 5 hrs & 16 RBI? Gotta be the back still bothering him.
  19. Yeah he's been sucking @ .156...but JBJ is hitting .175 with a 2yr/$24 mill contract...I guess I over valued him as a $5 mill/year type...man Im glad we passed on him as a FA despite really liking him over the years.
  20. Let me guess...youre a 20 something...LOL.
