  1. Regarding Yankee fans and their intrusion on a Red Sox site, it's like arguing with an idiot, you will get frustrated, never have your argument understood, and you'll be covered in spittle. Agree they should stay on Bronx related sites.
  2. Similar sentiments Yaz Fan. There seems to be an element that wants their rose colored glasses polished daily. Devers is likely showing the signs of a very young player who was rushed to the majors and is in over his head. He seems overmatched most nights and has no plate discipline or concept of how the pitchers are working him. Different than JBJr who should have enough experience by now to know how to bunt and to swing effectively as a contact #8 or #9 hitter/defensive specialist. On a positive note, thanks for signing JDM who is actually filling the Ortiz gap of 2017.
  3. Either the showcasing of Blake Swihart goes further on, or Cora wants to give him a lot of room to get it together at the plate, to consider a move on Leon or Vazquez. That outcome is not likely yet. The Tigers will certainly be tempted to run tonight and Blake may look bad between the knuckleball and trying to throw guys out.
  4. So Hembree holds on using only 28 pitches to secure a 6 run lead in the 9th. Sometimes you have to wonder. However, this may actually be the best series of the year to split with Houston at thier park against their best 4 including Verlander and Morton. No story here folks, you can all go home and sleep soundly.
  5. Cora is a freaking genius with these moves. Sitting sore toed JDM for a career AAA'er who comes through
  6. Gotta love Sam Travis showing up with a big hit.
  7. Bogaerts may have his swing back, but hope he doesn't try to steal 3rd while Sandy is standing on it. Time to pick up another 2 runs, JDM
  8. Barnes pretty effective tonight , got them to the 9th. Do you bring in Kimbrel and risk a non-save meltdown or try Brian Johnson? Mitch Moreland will get better once he gets some more experience at first.
  9. 6 of the toughest outs in baseball to come, but would get a really big win two nights in a row.
  10. Brock lands one more. Super Sub. Meanwhile Swihart and JBJr have no real clue on breaking balls down and in, never did, likley won't.
  11. A coin flip that lands on the edge and holds there
  12. Moreland had to try for 2nd base because he knew JBK was coming up behind him
  13. That was a 50.1 vs 49.9 call. Way too much left to chance
  14. What's the book on Barnes ?
  15. WTF was that play by Bogaerts, all he could do or Holt's mistake or what ??
  16. Note that Porcello lost the strike zone that inning and was way high on most pitches. Barnes needs to shut Altuve down.
  17. When it goes, it goes quick. Was Cora ready ??
  18. Porcello has completewly lost it in the 7th. pull him quick
  19. Key inning right here. Sox hitters no longer intetrested, ready to shower and leave.
  20. Thinking Swihart was actually safe with his foot in but likely came off the base. Cora being aggressive as advertised.
  21. So right, 12 more outs to get and there are some guys in that pen that might choke on that, only 1 or 2 though.
  22. Swihart uses the mound as a launch ramp to send a 7-0 (was) Charlie Morton straight to hell. As mentioned earlier, when the bottom of the lineup makes some contact it changes the game. Sorry, JBJr you are not part of that conversation yet. Pedey, take your time and get the knee calmed down. Brock Holt's got your back.
  23. Nothing wrong with Boston centric, it's just not ESPN's preferred outcome. If you are not LeBron you don't count
  24. j b F bradley Jr will never hit with that long swing. He truly sucks at the plate
  25. I'm in SoCal too and if you want to hear some crappy play by play try Terry Smith of the Angels. Not sure he knows where the game is taking place.
