  1. You keep Godley, preferably far from Fenway, in your dog's house
  2. Keep in mind that the guy who assembled most of the Rays team currently shutting out the Sox, 8-0. , now works in our building. I guess there's hope some day.
  3. Amazing Weber comes back from the dead and racks up 5.0 innings of shutout pitching on just 49 pitches with 4 K's and a DP. OK, the Rays hitters are probably tired from slugging Godley and running around the bases.
  4. Does anyone here picture Michael Chavis being the regular 1Bman or 2Bman for the next 4-5 years ?
  5. Max, it may be unfair in the broad sense but the play and some decisions so far this short season tell my optic recognition system that Ron Roenicke has little or no control nor influence over these guys. I can see where the position players get tired of being buried early many games, but Ron does not seem to be the personality to wake them back up next Spring. Chaim needs his own guy, younger and ready to get them up to Bogaerts level of effort.
  6. I don't know how much he is hurt but he was hurting the team. If his condition was preventing him putting a good swing on the ball for over 2 weeks, where the hell was Beni reporting it, and the coaching staff for not suspecting a physical problem ??
  7. If real full season baseball returns in 2021 , I think Bloom and Roenicke or his replacement have got another terrible situation trying to build even an average pitching staff around Eo and possibly Perez. There is no Groupon available for 4 or 5 legit starters.
  8. What in the name of anything foul is JDM swinging at. He is not right. Can't see the spin on a low curve hitting the dirt in front of the plate??
  9. Thank goodness Ryan Weber is back to plug the hole in the dyke. This strange shhort season will go down as the absolute bottom of the Red Sox barrel. The loss of Sale (predictable) and Rodriguez (Black swan event) truly wrecked what was already a messy situation. Bloom needs to realize that it is only 7 months until mid- February 2021. I personally think Covid will still be a major factor and could delay the next season start. But with no real MiLB in 2020 development of younger guys is deferred. Bloom needs to assemble an entire starting staff because Sale will not be there and Erod is questionnable. BTW (hint) : Weber and Godley are not part of the answer
  10. Has a Red Sox shuift worked yet ?? It sure has against them on defense and then when they are hitting vs. oppo shifts.
  11. Damnable Godley gives up 3 HR's in 2 .1 innings, down 6-0. Where is Bill Lee ?
  12. Here goes another ashot at infamy for Boston. Just stop digging the early hole, Godley. 4-0 is a poor start. Working on an oppo sweep at home. Nice
  13. Stock is a joke and Beni is not all that good going back, only sliding in . There are no words to describe this debacle, so adios fans
  14. Laughable---Stock goes 3-0 immediately, before getting a strike, then walking his first guy. Truly incredible incompetence
  15. Another run, 5-1, on a high bouncer over the mound that gets no one out. Brice gets to go in the clubhouse while Robert Stock gets his Red Sox virginity popped. It is hard to describe how f***ed up these pitchers really are. Perez's good effort goes to hell in the form of Austin "Tex" Brice
  16. Brice gives up a ground rule double on his 22nd pitch, with 2 strikes on the hitter . This kid has nothing , joining the long list of bullpen losers that is the broken half wheel on the Red Sox pitching caravan
  17. Brice beginning to unravel. With no decent out pitch he gets fouled off 3 times on 3-2 by an .091 hitter, then walks him
  18. Here's some bad news: Rays now up 3-1 on Brice in 7th (1 out) when Margot doubles over third and scores a guy from 1B . Beni didn't get to the ball real quick
  19. Not sure how many times this year Sox have been beat the oppo way on the shift. If the other team shifts on our guys, we hit it to the only guy on that side
  20. 2-1 top 7 with Brice pitching. Perez went 5 2/3rds, 90+ pitches
  21. Sox getting a good, 6 inning effort out of Martin Perez. The only starter into the 6th inning ?
  22. And I missed Benintendi's hit, can't believe it.
  23. One of the two was a bunt, nicely executed but that means only one hit this short season from a swing.
  24. Good to see JDM come alive with 3 hits. Too bad relievers gave up runs in 5 consecutive innings
  25. Verdugo has as poor pitch selection as anyone. Cannot be too successful just swinging at anything
