  1. White Sox and Braves next week, with Monday & Thursday off. Good rest days for this bunch. If they can win 1 of the 2 Braves games they cannot lose yet another series next week.
  2. Kutter gets 0-2 , tries to waste one inside and Walsh flares it for 2 runs to left. Some days it just doesn't pay.
  3. MVP, your tag line says it all so far this season.
  4. 4 hits, an HBP and no outs. Tanner needs his B12 shot
  5. Houck be digging that hole, providing no answers to the BP program
  6. Terry Smith is the single worst play by play guy I ever heard. Mark Langston is ok. They do the radio side, no idea who is on the TV for Anaheim
  7. You are my next pitching coach, but as I wrote, how do we see this stuff but the pros in the dugout appear clueless ?
  8. Pitch Sawamura every f***ing day until his marginal arm falls off. At least we get a guy on second to start the 10th
  9. Moon, it's not that it's early or 137 to go, all of which is true. It's that there is a team that is undermanned in a tough division with a GM and/or ownership willing to relegate full seasons to rebuilding . It's that their actions have made the clubhouse atmosphere one of winning is not the real goal, managing the budget and ages of our players is the guide. I would not give Bogey an 8+ year deal, maybe not even Devers. But I would not have brought in Story ( regardless of production) to rip a hole in the team, full well knowing the fire sale is more likely than not by August 2 ( the 2022 trade deadline)
  10. Do you see the location of Barnes' throws ? No clue where it is going. A mental midget in terms of a competitor
  11. I truly hate Matt Barnes the biggest choker to ever get a baseball in his hand. very proud that I thought that way about him for multiple years. was almost ready to give him the firast half of 2021, but now I will revert to pissing on him at every opportunity, gutless assclown
  12. I have been guessing that the frequent contributors on this site have cumulatively seen probably 72,000+- MLB games plus untold lesser games (15 x 30yrs x 160 games) . That cumulative experience far outweighs Cora and his entire staff and should make the players gasp in awe. Why can we see situations and plays so clearly and they cannot ? They really should follow the game threads more closely for wise advice.
  13. Send your catcher to steal 2nd in the 9th after working the full game, when it was possible ( unlikely) that Dalbec may have walked. Getting a hit wouldn't have mattered because Vasquez would be sliding into second
  14. Had Dalbec taken the 4th pitch (low/inside) Vaz would be on 2nd now Bad call against a bad hitter . Dalbec should just quit, he will never get a break
  15. Maddon will mess up his reliever by chasing Vaz back
  16. PH anyone who will lean out over the plate and let the ball hit him, instead of vice versa
  17. Dugo has a 2-0 count, swings at ball 3, which was low inside, very low percentage effort
  18. Here's the good news, the Angels bench is pretty much depleted
  19. Most of our relievers are BB's. Bullpen Burners. Starting pitchers should stay away from them lest they get infected
  20. Regardless of outcome , Diekman is another thrower, not pitcher Could not get the .224 hitting Walsh out , lefty on LH hitter. 15 pitches and not an out among them .
  21. When Robles was with the Angels, I saw too much of his inabilities, living here in SoCal. He is the definition of a thrower. Sometimes effective, often not. It was a mistake to pitch him as today's closer vs his old team.
  22. Yes, it is a myth . Water vapor molecules are lighter than 'dry" oxygen/nitrogen mix, so high humidity air is lighter than dry air. But there is the possibility that the ball itself absorbs some of that water vapor increasing the weight of the ball......but wait E=mass x velocity squared so a heavier ball will have more energy at a fixed speed but then the coefficient of contact and the amount of velocity transferred to the ball , along with optimization of launch angle help determine how far and high the ball will fly. Bogey gets it, some others unnamed don't.
  23. It's a high humidity day so the new ball amidst those conditions can't fly as far, as proven by Stassi and Rendon. Neither HR was epic.
