  1. The first of many HR's today from Duran who could not help his team in Toronto
  2. There basically is no need to start JBJr ( aka JBK). He is better used being available off the bench as a PR or late inning defense. Maybe Cora thinks with Rich Hill on the mound he needs more speed to chase the long flyballs, but in Wrigley, they are soon HR's, not wall balls. Refsnyder has shown good ability to ignite a rally or keep the line moving and can deliver the HR on occasion. Now as for JDM, if Wrigley cannot help him bust his slump, then he's not helping and may need to sit one out to study his videos. They are jamming you inside JD, no longer using t5he low and away slider approach. Free advice.
  3. Your final sentence is absolutely true. Apart from that, Robles, who I also detest, did induce two ground balls that might have been played into outs, if not a DP. In any event I called BS on him the day he was signed having seen his failures with the Angels previously.
  4. Sox get walked off for lack of an effective pitch in the 9th
  5. Giving up the single to the beer league softball player Kurk was the worst possible start .
  6. Houck can go F himself .My 2 cents worth
  7. Danish is now nibbling but maybe ok on Springer
  8. The ultimate curse: warning track power
  9. I am intentionally knocking weak hitting JDM to reverse his curse
  10. Danish has an odd but effective low effort short delivery
  11. Story stops another shift hit
  12. NYY up 2-0 in 8th. What else is new ?
  13. Vazquez is carrying this team with 2 strike clutch hitting
  14. Good for Dugo. Now need some non-existent Clutch
  15. It is an unwritten rule in baseball that your situation vis a vis the scoreboard cannot get negatively affected during your ABs.
  16. Blue Jay's living off the weakest hits
  17. Now the emphasis goes to winning tis one, not getting beat. Might miss Houck tonight.
  18. Nice comeback and Wacha/Brasier kept it under control. JDM islost in space. Glad Reffy isnt
  19. Brasier is a 2 out pitcher. Springer is a hitter
  20. Did anyone else see speculation that Bloom could consider trading JD even if the Sox are still contending, assuming there was a decent prospect haul ?
  21. In their 7-15 East record Sox have averaged 3.5 runs/game. Last night and this game to date will lower that
  22. Sox in trouble; 2nd/3rd no outs]
  23. Dugo is a hot dog, and of average ability
