  1. I would rather his name be a derivative of "blind squirrel" as in find a nut ( hit) occasionally
  2. Did Pivetta not realize that if he pitched instead of just throw the f'ing ball as hard as he could, he might have completed 5, and prevented Sawamura from facing Guerrero with a man on. Pivetta is an ass.
  3. I wonder if Dalbec speaks Spanish ? If he does, he will know what Casa(s) means
  4. probably the end of Pivetta tonight with more pitches (81) through 4 than EO used in 7 last night, and he got pulled.
  5. Probably all kinds of problems with Robo umps and unintended consequences, but it can't be much worse than CB Bucknor, Angel Hernandez and the MF behind the plate tonight.
  6. This may be the key out to get of the game. Stay 1-1 or go down with Pivetta faltering
  7. The Gerbil's grandson? BTWQ, the leadoff walk scored didn't it. Pivetta all over the place this inning
  8. Amazing how a leadoff walk can change the whole character of a game by slowing it down . Oh yeah, walking the #9 guy who is hitting .105 doesn't help
  9. Feel free to correct but is that 1 scoring inning in the last 18 consecutive. Mr Fatse, you have to answer for Fredo
  10. Speedy Vaz ready to steal
  11. It's the A/C vents which auto tilt depending on which team is batting .
  12. Had MLB not altered the ball yet again, Sox would have 2 HR's so far and BJ's only 1. Flyballs to the warning track do speed up the game
  13. Liking Pivetta's control and breaking ball so far. Much improved
  14. On a positive note JD's hit made Gausman pitch from the stretch to hold him at 2nd, something which the next 3 Red Sox hitters also excelled at.
  15. OB says Devers is resting to get him off the artificial surface. Last time i looked closely , Raffy played 3rd base, 90% of the time on the dirt. Now is that artificial dirt in Toronto?
  16. JD's bat still a little slow, laughing out loud!!!!
  17. Sox lineup has 6 of 9 hitters with OPS below .609, and the leader at .609 is our buddy JBJr.
  18. Watching Springer foul off a number of pitches---not so rare
  19. In the course of a season with only 20 days off in about a half year, I can get the idea of a "rest" day. But most of these guys are at their physical peak in their mid-20s. When the team is scrambling as in NOW, then the best 9 need to play . At an absolute minimum they need to PH which Cora doesn't seem prone to do. But what would he know sitting in Boston.
  20. Maybe they should just let Plawecki swing away with 2 on and no outs, instead of bunting, LOL. That was one tactic that worked as designed leading to the 2-2 tie-up. Then came Strahm and the cheese Danish
  21. Nothing worse could have happened by leaving Eovaldi in than what ACTUALLY did happen by taking him out. A GS in the 8th inning of a game we just tied up , is the worst outcome that could have been done in the situation.
  22. Time for a hard look at Pivetta to see if he can be effective at all. Tough situation all around with slumping hitters and a BP that has gone somewhat sour over the past few games. A win tonight would be welcome as would about 8 runs and ONE, just ONE flyball by the RS that clears the fence in fair territory
  23. Have the team come from behind and win a game , with a shutdown bullpen if you want some excitement.
  24. Also, Nate can't lose this , unless he comes back out
  25. Dugo does it. Good situational work by Plawecki and Dugo
