  1. So the dumbass went to LA where he pays higher taxes. In fact, for people of Mookie's income level, the effective federal, state, local income tax levels are about 59% of AGI. Then you have sales taxes, gas taxes etc. among the highest in the USA.
  2. Big home half of the 7th. You would like to get enthused about pulling this game out but our batters don't bring that warm, fuzzy feeling
  3. Danish Fired Again. He's going to need TJ before the year's out. He's done for a long time. They always think they can rest the pitching arm flexors but it is the ulnar ligament that is tugging on them
  4. Nobody has offered up a play on words about Danish going to the IL, further shrinking the BP package like a dip into cold water
  5. Once again a winnable game at home, courtesy of Raffy, but they will need more run production from the rest of the lineup and a shutdown BP effort, which Strahm is trying to do
  6. If only X could HR right here , it would be worth a lot. Thanks Franchy
  7. Heckuva job by Devers to try and carry this team. JDM says, I used to do that.
  8. Not sure Duran can cover the plate very well from his position in the Batter box
  9. But he can hit worm crushers with the best of them
  10. When his stride took him towards the plate, he threw good pitches, even if Hicks hit one. When he tries to overpower it and leaves his arm flying out the right side , he can't control it.
  11. Cordero makes a fundamental mistake at 1B every game He just dropped the warm up ball for the next inning
  12. You could opine that they haven't had a starting pitcher in tonight's or last night's game either. They did have guys learning the craft at the top level against good disciplined hitting teams.
  13. Once Josh stopped pulling himself off to the left his command suddenly returned and he could throw a strike. It was exactly the same mechanical defect that doomed Matt Barnes: overthrow , lead off to the left side of the mound and leave your arm dragging through the zone, pitches will be high. If I can see it from California, why can't Cora or Bush see it and come out to explain his future to him ?
  14. Wink looks like he doesn't have a clue and would like to go back to WOOSOX
  15. Wincky chickened out on pitching to Stanton and that was all she wrote
  16. Josh, you are officially f***ed and by extension, so is your team
  17. Semi-intentional walk to Stanton ??
  18. In terms of outcomes so far, Winckhowski , with 6 outs/no runs , is outpitching Cole , who only has 3outs/no runs. Updates coming.
  19. I suspect you do not need any announcer to explain what is happening ! If you do, JDM just K'ed
  20. This just in : Carpenter no longer hitting .300 . Winckhowski pitching a shutout
  21. Interesting that this Yankee lineup features only one .300 hitter, Matt Carpenter, who is exactly at .300, and includes Joey Gallo at .167. So we have much better stats
  22. Don't brag, Cora can rest players at key points with the best of managers
  23. G. Cole , 7-2, Gee Whiz vs. Josh Winckhowski 3-2, most recently a blossoming rotation member for the Sox When this 14 game stretch started , I would have been happy with a 7-7 outcome, but expected 2 of 3 from the Rays. Still will call 7-7 , but need to get 3-1 vs New York, a tall order when the team is not hitting timely.
