    Sending Grissom to WooSox is logical until he shows he can hit again. Valdez and Hamilton have earned their current spot on the field. Westbrook should enjoy his nights under the lights because he won't last ( or there is no room for a journeyman.) Valdez, himself, will reach a bad streak at bat or in the field and be swapped with Grissom eventually. Hamilton looks like the real deal, but may have to settle for the utility infielder role, but right now, that is Grissom's future role.

    This may have been the best week of Boston baseball since 2018. To take both series against previously strong pitching is amazing but to see the youngsters in the lineup maturing is a great sign. It will become sustainable if the team can take the Jays' series

    He has been going very well but gives up a run quick in 6th with no outs. Cora knows he has this game but will need to survive Crawford and Bullpen Roulette to keep the win.

    Valdez and Hamilton turn a rocket shot into a DP. Learning at the MLB level . Who needs Worcester ?

    2 out walk to Valdez and a floater by Dom Smith leads to 2 runs on a good AB by Rafaela. Fun to watch the Yankees look unskilled

    Only doing this because Splendid Splinter asked someone to take it on. His streak will live though with a win here. Crawford vs old friend Marcus Stroman. Let the game begin If 6 days ago you had said we would take the Phillies 2 of 3 and have the same shot at the Yankees, playing Fenway , you would have been certifiable

    Red Sox cannot turn the fundamental double play. Mostly because the infielders on the field are AAA players

    Game slip sliding away , and so am I as we go out on a Friday night. My guess is that Bello's extension was not well timed. He and Rafaela needed to complete the year and show something more than either has.

    Duran is a little shy, maybe rightfully, of the Monster . Another ball that was just missed off the bat of Verdugo. Bello may not make it through 5 full if he can't settle down.

    All Smith had to do was a flyball. Valdez continues to amaze at bat. But Smith and Rafaela chase as only they can to kill the rally

    I think you have assessed Devers pretty well. With all the analytics available, opposing teams should know how to pitch to his weaknesses. Throw in that he is a free swinger and you get Raffy. A threat but not consistent.

    Still has soreness when swinging the bat in a T-ball situation. I think the Sox should give him plenty of time. I know the WC is still a possibility, though marginal, but with Tristan's swing , he could easily re-aggravate it quickly.
