  1. Verlander looks very sharp so far and Sale looks very hittable. He just looks off period. His velocity is all over the place and he can’t find the strike zone. I say take him out and save him for game three or four. Hopefully I’m wrong and he can get some quick innings in and at least get us through the fifth. I’m tired of Verlander he’s got his ring we need to light him up.
  2. I see that and just looked in the thread and nobody’s posting about the game currently that’s why I started a Sale thread. There’s a ton of post about the game before the game, but none at least that I saw about what’s going on in the game right now. Oh well post if you want to if not no biggy!
  3. Sale is off that’s all I’m saying.
  4. Sale absolutely does not have it tonight. I don’t see how Cora has not pulled the plug after he walked Corea. Then of course Springer hits a single that should’ve been at least stopped by Nunez. Why isn’t Devers in the game? I know he’s not the greatest defensive third baseman but at least he can hit. I know the game just started but with Verlander on the hill it’s going to be hard to scratch across runs.
  5. I definitely would not have put Price in there not in that big situation. Heck I don’t agree with Price starting game two of the ALCS.
  6. We should be the favorites period. We won 108 games. I know they won 103. I think the pressure is a little bit more on us more than the Astros, because of winning 108 games. Plus they won the WS last year. That said Sale can atone for last year and dominate tonight!
  7. You’d like to think he can overcome his woes, but 0-10 in the playoffs says it all. It’s not like he hasn’t had chances. We are paying him a ton of money, but he can come out of the pen. The Astros can really hit. I’d rather see E-Rod get a start rather than Price, because if he’s on Rodriquez can be dominant. Never mind I just looked at the game 2 staters and Price is in for game 2. I guess we’ll have to pray literally that he’s a different pitcher on Sunday.
  8. I completely agree because Porcello was on and CC wasn’t. Plus our BP actually pitched lights out except Kimberl, which almost made me heart beat a little faster!
  9. Agreed!
  10. The radio just said their playing New York New York in the locker room like Judge did after game 2!!!
  11. Agreed!!! Although Kimberl was making it closer than it had to but in the end we’re in the ALCS!
  12. Me too. I was hoping Devers would be in the lineup tonight regardless of the lefty on the mound.
  13. Holy crap Holt hit for the cycle!!! I was thinking Kinsler should of been in at second but was I wrong. Heck I was wrong in a couple ways and happy to say it! I knew Severino could be shaky and was he and we jumped all over him. Yankee stadium almost empty in a playoff game priceless!
  14. It wasn’t a dump it was an honest “opinion”. If you read it all the way through I said “I really hope I’m wrong”. Plus I’ve been posting on this board for awhile. An I agree with the post below we do have a good team and enough negativity, absolutely including me! We came out like thumpers tonight and I expect nothing different tomorrow.
  15. Read all my posts then make your conclusion. It’s supposed to be all in fun for a Red Sox fan to talk to another Red Sox fan. I can handle criticism no problem. Like every fan you get caught up in your emotions of wanting them to win so bad that you over critique the team. I posted earlier that Severino can be shaky and it would be great if we could get both in New York. So far so good we’re up 10-0!!!
  16. How is that negative? I just said it will be hard against the Astros seeing how they just swept the really good Guardians. I didn’t say that they couldn’t do it in anyway did I? No I didn’t. As for the post of is it “Over”, it was a question. Right now if you read the whole post I said I’ll be really happy to be wrong and right now so far I’m happy to be wrong because it’s seven nothing Sox!!!
  17. They just beat the Guardians 11-3 in Cleveland. The Guardians are no joke and they swept them with ease. Your right Bregman is a stud. For some reason we don’t match up well against them either, but I’m hoping this is a different year. Of course we have to get past the dam Skanks first. All we have to do is get one in NY. It would be great if we took both in NY. I just don’t like their bullpen being so dominant. Just get one and bring it back to Boston.
  18. If we get past Yanks it’s going to be hard, because the Astros are looking really good right now. The Guardians have a really good lineup and they can’t score hardly any runs against that pitching staff. Plus they’re hitting like they did last post season. That said all we need to do to get those bats going and get some good pitching!
  19. You never know Severino can get shaky and it’s a big stage tonight. I know he did well in the wildcard game, but hopefully he’s very hitable tonight. We have to make him make his pitches and not chase pitches out of the strike zone.
  20. Ya I agree I think Porcello should start. Eovaldi is just a fastball pitcher and the Skanks hit fastballs well.
  21. I completely agree with that because all the pressure is always on the home team. So HFA can absolutely be a disadvantage.
  22. I agree it’s being honest and going with what you see. Although I will say the 2004 and 2007 teams bucked the numbers. I absolutely believe we can win in NY, but the Skanks are clicking. We have to have a dominant performance from Evaldi. That’s definitely not a given. I would of started Porcello Monday. One thing nobody is bringing up is the layoff we had and that always throws hitters timing off. I think it’ll comedown to the bullpen and can they get big outs in NY. It’s been our achilles heel all year. We shall see tomorrow!
  23. Nope I was right in front of the tv yelling at the Skanks and routing on the Sox. Manny Ramirez was my all time favorite player. Say what you want I don’t care. I’ve been a Sox fan for 20 years and would never give up on them. I was just stating what I see. Our BP and starting pitching is mediocre to be nice, except Sale. The Yanks lineup is really good. We all have a deep hatred for the Skanks, but unfortunately it’s true about their lineup and bullpen. They said on the telecast every hitter had 20+ homers. I hope I’m absolutely wrong just as I said in my first post. The one thing I’ll say is I got caught up with being pissed we got smacked and posted with emotion. I think we’re all guilty of that. I’d just like to see more production out of the 5-9 hitters and of course the BP so we can get a win.
