  1. Can you say I’m wrong after the last two nights? I’d love to say I think we’re going to win the series and do it in a dominant fashion. The last two nights didn’t make me think that. They almost came back last night and lit us up tonight. Their bullpen is just one dominant pitcher after another. Ours is one mediocre pitcher after another except Kimberl. I’m asking the question is it over? So say no and you think we’re going to win the series. We have Mookie, Benny, JD, and Bogarts. They have 1-9 that can really hit. Heck even 80 year old McCutchen had an RBI hit. It’s just an opinion that I really hope is wrong.
  2. Who thinks this series is over? The Yankee bats are clicking big time. We have 4 good to great hitters they have 9 good to great hitters. After Bogarts our lineup is terrible. As far as pitching I don’t need to say anything. Price was saying after the game he knows he can win in the playoffs but his 0-10 record would say he can’t. Their bullpen is so dominant they don’t need good starting pitching. It’s just hard for me to say they’re going to win this series after what I’ve seen the last two nights. We got lit up tonight and they almost came back the night before. It feels like the last two years all over again. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think I am.
  3. He struggles massively under pressure. I was at a game at Fenway in July and we were up 6-2 on the Bluejays. Barnes came in and I said it’s about to get interesting. Sure enough he gave up 2 runs and was pulled before getting any outs. Nothing’s changed since then. He’ll have an occasional good outing then just give it up the next couple times out. It’s not a comfortable thought of our bullpen going into the playoffs.
  4. I know this is obvious, but dang if our bullpen is not a WS losing weakness I don’t know what is. I mean Price finally has a great start against the Yankees, and Hembree comes in and immediately implodes. I know Xandier made a huge error, but Hembree was pitching terrible. I don’t know how we go far in the playoffs if we don’t get at least decent bullpen performances. I went to a game on the 12th against the Jays where Mookie hits a grandslam, but Barnes comes in and starts giving up runs. The Jays are a average team. Imagine what our bullpen will have to face in the playoffs. DD made some good moves at the trade deadline, but not adding any arms to a bad bullpen is troublesome. Kimberl is our only good reliever. I mean we can see if anyone gets put on wavers, but I don’t see another way to improve our biggest weakness. Does anyone else?
