  1. Felger and Mazz both suck. What a terrible talk show. Captain Negative and Doctor Doom. They hate Boston sports teams. Felger is a huge Milwaukee fan. Big Jim Murray is also a moron. Nothing positve comes out of their show and their opinions are garbage. They must listen to Tomase or Reimer, another couple of losers who hate Boston sports teams.
  2. Some team is going to sign him. It appears he was set up. Sox need starting pitching despertately.
  3. Red Sox should sign two pitchers from Japan: Yamamoto and Trevor Bauer (not proven guilty of anything and not civilly liable for anything).
  4. I'd rather pay Rafaela the minimum.
  5. He hit .248 with 1 homer in 202 ABs. Slugged .317.
  6. Yes. He is just taking up a roster spot. Comparing him to other underachieving Sox players means nothing.
  7. Signing Refsynder for 2 years was a mistake by Bloom. He is a journeyman who doesn't add much. Hits LHP ok but no power. Pretty good defender but not great. Guys like him are always around. Now he is taking up a roster spot.
  8. The Sox are hiring Craig Breslow as head of Baseball Operations. He's smart, knows pitching and played for the Sox. I like it.
  9. In my opinion, some of Bloom's biggest mistakes that led to his firing are: a. The poor return for Mookie Betts. b. Not resigning Kyle Schwarber. The dude has 52 homers this year so far. He is a good teammate, patient hitter and he would have signed for a reasonable amount. c. Not resigning Eovaldi and Wacha. d. Holding on to aging veterans at the last two trade deadlines when he could have got some decent prospects for a lot of them. e. Not adding anything at the last two trade deadlines. If you don't sell, you have to buy right? f. The last two teams have been poorly constructed. g. Signing Kluber Granted, Bloom did make some good moves during his tenure but the team just looked uninterested and undermanned the last two years. The fans aren't excited about the team. Attendance is down. Something had to change.
  10. I guess Bush never thought of having Brasier try a cutter. Wow!
  11. Its about time.
  12. They also need to add some heart and grit because this year's team didn't have it.
  13. That was a joke, right? Baez doesn't hit for average, only hit total of 26 homers the last two years, 45 errors last two years and strikes out a lot. Plus he wants over 20 million a year. No thanks.
  14. I think the Red Sox feel they will have to make major moves this off season to improve the team and to keep the fan base interested. All the empty seats this past season have sent a clear message. I will be interested to see what they do.
  15. Great Red Sox player, great husband and father. As opposed to many on this board, I enjoyed his commentary on Red Sox broadcasts and post-game. He knew the game and he knew the Red Sox. Its a shock because, as far as I know, this was not known by many people. Rest In Peace Tim. Red Sox Nation will miss you but never forget your contributions.
  16. Wacha 14-4, 3.22 E.R.A. Bloom thought it was smarter to give Kluber 10 million. Another reason he got fired. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
  17. I like the way Nick Pivetta pitched the last few months of the season. I think he can be in the rotation next year. I just hope the Red Sox aren’t dumb enough to give him a huge extension this off-season based on a couple of months pitching with no pressure.
  18. Glad I didn't waste any time watching that game.
  19. Houck should not be in the rotation next year. He is a bullpen guy at best.
  20. Pivetta has pitched himself into the 2024 rotation I think.
  21. Lots of dogs on that list.
