  1. Red Sox 0-11 when trailing after 6. That’s says a lot about clutch hitting
  2. If Wong had let the double steal happen the Sox would be ahead now. Instead, he fouls the ball off and then hits into a double play.. stupid baseball.
  3. He was able to dominate all of the batters who were using steroids during that era.
  4. With this bullpen, no lead is safe unless Chapman is in.
  5. Except when he calls for an off speed pitch to Guerrero!
  6. Bello is pitching really well. Hope the Sox don't waste 3 consecutive good starting pitching performances.
  7. A little research: "Fired 16 months ago, Duquette isn't talking. Duquette's now-famous explanation -- that Clemens was embarking on "the twilight of his career'' -- came to ultimately haunt Duquette and, just maybe, motivate the pitcher himself. With the benefit of hindsight, Duquette's contention now seems absurd. Since leaving Boston, Clemens has gone on to win 107 games, three Cy Young Awards, two mythical pitching Triple Crowns and two world championships. Some twilight."
  8. That is NOT TRUE. At the end of the 1996 season, Duquette stated that Clemens was in the twilight of his career. This perception was likely based on Clemens's final four years with the Red Sox, which, while still productive, were not his most dominant. Look it up.
  9. If Cedanne could just make contact like Duran, the Sox would have the lead. Looks like he needs to go back to AAA for more seasoning. Bring up Roman.
  10. If Hamilton could steal first base he would be awesome.
  11. Why is Cedanne swinging when Hamilton has the base stolen. Dumb.
  12. Dan Duquette low balled Clemens and said he "was in the twilight of his career. Huge mistake. I didn't like Clemens when he was pitching for Toronto and the Yankees but he has come back to Fenway many times. He still does a lot for the Jimmy Fund. I like Clemens now. He is a great interview when he is in the booth. Boggs doesn't come around Fenway much. Of course, his kid isn't playing like the Rocket's.
  13. Time to send Hamilton to AAA. Also have to find a first baseman. Romy is not an everyday player. Also have to hope Slaten and Whitlock can start pitching better. Those two blown games to Toronto were awful.
  14. This bullpen is killing them. Two games in a row......blown!
  15. Story is in a bad slump, 2-34. Cedanne not hitting great. Time for Mayer and Anthony.
  16. Romy and Cedanne swinging out of their ass at trash. Two terrible ABs.
