  1. Renfroe's a Hoover and Cordero's a Dyson.
  2. Ariharrable. Guy should be throwing in the HR Derby competition.
  3. Btw, there are some batters who can't hit good or bad pitching. Hell, there are even some teams.
  4. Good pitching beats good hitting. Good hitting beats not good pitching. Game isn't that complicated.
  5. Other question is why have Franchy and Renfroe?
  6. EO vs Arihara SOX due to put up some crooked numbers.
  7. I know it's a broken record, but sometimes you have to give credit to the opposing pitcher. Like when we give credit to our pitchers when they pitch a good game against a good team.
  8. Just finished watching the game and not much to comment on. Good pitching beats good hitting as the SOX offense heads south to join the rest of the league. Actually, the only SOX batter who consistently hits good pitching is Devers, which is why I continue to post that he's the best hitter on this team. Devers' major weakness is his weak grasp on the mental part of the game. Not covering 3rd causing that bad throw to advance the runner is just another example of his mental lapses. Hopefully, tomorrow's Rangers' pitcher is not good and the SOX can put up some crooked numbers. Could blame the loss on jet lag, but I'm more inclined to tip my cap at Gibson;he had excellent stuff tonight. Nice job, also, by Perez.
  9. Been watching the Yankems/O's game and was surprised to learn how many large muscles an albatross possessed. Here's hoping Stanton continues to decline and becomes the Chris Davis of the Yankems.
  10. During after game interview deGrom said he wasn't happy with his mechanics. One run and 9 K's and he wasn't happy with his mechanics. This guy's from a different planet. The SOX did do a very good job of giving him a high pitch count, especially Pivetta's 10, which was as impressive as his pitching.
  11. Devers also hit the hardest ball tonight(106mph) and was rewarded with an out.
  12. deGrom, who is now 2-2, saw his ERA rise from 0.33 to 0.51 after tonight's loss to the SOX. 2 wins, 2 losses with an ERA of 0.51. Let that sink in, won't you?
  13. Sports reporter: "Who's the toughest hitter you've faced this year?" deGrom: "That 5th batter for the SOX. Deavers or Drevers or something like that."
  14. deGrom should read about Bob Gibson's career with the Cards, especially in '68.
  15. Besides winning, another good thing about this game was very little chance of base running injuries.
  16. The SOX team ERA has definitely improved. Hell, two more games against the Mets and the SOX would be near the top.
  17. Good pitching beats good hitting. When pitching against the Mets, well, you see where I'm going with this.
