  1. Sore wrist and cataracts.
  2. I love what's going on at Citi Field. The fans are booing the Mets and the Mets are giving the fans a 'thumbs down' when they get on base.
  3. On the bright side. All of you guys do realize how close the SOX were to getting swept in this series. That they won 2 of 3 is a minor miracle. Btw, Cleveland isn't as terrible as the Twinkies or Rangers. Those 2 teams the SOX should have swept. Getting thru September with this BP will probably make alcoholics out of most of us.
  4. Getting pitching from the SOX farm system is rarer than finding a pearl in an oyster.
  5. This would be a great time for Whitlock to renegotiate his contract.
  6. His approach at the plate is much better in that he's been more selective at what he's swinging at.
  7. It's tough for Cora having two DH's on his team.
  8. Never mind, I just checked. Devers becomes a FA after the 2023 season. He MUST be extended!
  9. Mr Moon, when does Devers' current contract expire?
  10. It does seem like we see at least one of those every game.
  11. Well, Ramirez is about 4 years older than Devers, so when Devers is 29, I'm pretty sure his WAR will be higher than 5.
  12. Interesting, Ramirez has a WAR of 5 while Devers has a WAR of 3.5.
  13. He'll be an important part of the BP next season. Typical of the SOX farm system when it comes to pitchers; Houck was drafted in 2017 and in that time in the SOX farm system he comes to the big show with 2 effective pitches-FB and slider. As a reliever he should be OK with those two weapons.
  14. In the golden age of baseball, which isn't coming back, pitchers would be fined for giving up 0-2 base hits.
  15. That was intentionally getting hit. Like how Cora made a big fuss about it. I guess Cora feels that if he gets thrown out of a game, the SOX have no chance of winning.
  16. Houck has great composure on the mound. He may lose his control, but he never loses his cool.
  17. A Nolan Ryan type no-hitter. 9 walks, no hits, 13K's and a pitch count of close to 200.
  18. That was supposed to be a curve ball, but it didn't curve.
  19. That's no straw man in center for Cleveland.
  20. At this point Whitlock will be a starter next season and Houck will be valuable in the pen.
  21. HoUCK is really pressing his LUCK.
  22. If Aruaz is injured, Shaw has 2nd base experience.
