I would give this post a definite YUP.
  2. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
He's also the most likely SOX to accept a walk.
  3. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
NY Post; a step down from the Enquirer.
  4. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
The odds are against that happening, but the SOX have beaten the odds all season.
  5. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
But, having said this, I do believe JD has a stronger arm than Schwarber.
  6. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Similar to saying Justin Bieber is better than Vanilla Ice.
  7. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
The only time it would be necessary for JD to stay in the line-up and play the OF would be in the WS. That really is 'going forward.'
  8. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    No question about that.
  9. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    No question about that.

Btw, I believe one would have to go back to the late 90's Cleveland Guardians to see an offense as potent as Toronto's this season. If they had gotten to play half their season in front of their fans in Toronto, the standings may have ended quite differently, but them's the breaks. I'm predicting the Jays will be the team to beat next year.

The SOX had to sweep the Nats on the road and they did. They now have home field 'advantage?' Everything before the Nats' series is now meaningless. Whatever happens on Tuesday night will not refute the fact that this SOX team achieved more than most of us expected back in late March and especially after being swept by the O's in the season opening series. Go SOX!

Hard to believe that was 43 years ago.

Time machine set for 1978 with, hopefully, a better ending.

    King Cole.

Hey, Tyler, what a day! Btw, have you checked out that movie KATE yet on Netflix? Highly recommended.
  16. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Congrats, MOON. I've never met a better SOX fan.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Congrats, MAX. You're a great SOX fan.

If the SOX don't win the WS, I just hope it isn't a team from Florida or Texas. Much as I dislike the Yankems, I dislike those two states worse.
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Tip of the cap to both the Jays and Mariners for their excellent seasons. I never tip my cap to the Yankems.
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    And, of course, DEVERS!
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Great job by most of the BP and a great clutch hit earlier by Dugo.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    Day of rest(sanity) tomorrow.
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Agreed. Devers has the perfect make-up of a great ballplayer. And his best years are still ahead of him.
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
It's a great thing when a team's best player is also their youngest.
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
DEVERS DEliVERS AGAIN! Only fitting that it was the best player on the team to do it.
