  1. BP pitchers I would accept a check from: Whitlock, Barnes, Ottavino, Taylor, and probably SAW. All the others I would accept only cash.
  2. Not dissing Cora; the SOX are in 1st place. But, it still pisses me off when the SOX have a very winnable game and Cora babies his relievers.
  3. D-Hern was squeezed on that ball 4 to Kemp. There just isn't a real strike zone in baseball anymore.
  4. Seriously. That's more surprising than the Mets scoring 8 runs today.
  5. Walking Kemp is like walking Santana.
  6. New rule. A reliever has to face a minimum of 3 batters.
  7. A pop-up; what a surprise.
  8. You can only get away with Filene's Basement bargains for just so long.
  9. This game has had more pop-ups than the old VH-1 music videos.
  10. If I was given secret information that one of the SOX players was actually a cyborg, I would definitely guess that it's JD.
  11. Josh adding some drama to his shutout streak.
  12. If a run had scored on that Santana bobble, I would have DFA'd him on the spot.
  13. Good play by Josh. Anytime a pitcher can throw the ball to a base w/o it ending up in the OF is a good play.
  14. I'd love to watch him hit, but he hardly ever does. His daze should be numbered.
  15. Both Barnes and Cora when they were asked. But they both could have been lying.
  16. Kike, lend me your bat!
  17. Dalbec's body language at the plate is not the language of confidence. Smart pitchers* pick that up real soon. *a rare animal according to Ted Williams.
  18. Nice play by Bogey. Slower runners help make good defensive plays.
  19. Speaking of pitchers who can't throw strikes, I was watching the Mets beat the Yankems earlier today. The Mets' manager brought in a reliever named Castro, who in 115 innings pitched in the major leagues had walked 158 batters. So, of course, he walked the 1st two Yankems he faced.
  20. The 6th inning nightmare. Hoped he go 6, but hoping is not doing.
  21. Eck had no complaints pitching there.
  22. When the SOX come back at .500 from the west coast trip, that's considered successful.
  23. There's almost as much foul territory as fair territory on that football field.
  24. With the way shifts are used it's a luxury to have a strong-armed 2nd baseman.
  25. I wonder what the record is for pop ups in a 9 inning game?
