  1. Even if JD had swung he's not going to hit that pitch. Harvey's tough.
  2. The SOX line-up reminds me of Dolly Parton. Top heavy.
  3. Hell, Thunder, hot girls are a dime a dozen, but good hitters are much rarer. Got to get your priorities straight.
  4. I can't even imagine a manager trying to take Bob Gibson out of a game because he threw 100 pitches. The manager would get his what for and Bob would still be on the mound.
  5. Let's all hope that the SOX continue to score a bunch when E-rod starts. Lot of innings left.
  6. Prior to the 'pitch count' era, no one cared how many pitches a pitcher threw; hell, it was never even mentioned. Nolan Ryan, because of control issues, would throw close to 200 pitches in a lot of games.
  7. I'm guessing Devers employs a 31oz bat. Same weight bat that Ted Williams used. I'm also guessing that Devers read Williams' book.
  8. Renfroe can't help but throw the ball to 3rd base.
  9. O's took a small gamble on him and he's been very good. Damn, wish the SOX had made an offer to him earlier.
  10. Here's hoping Stanton's contract with the Yankems is just as bad.
  11. Right now Sale is still a lefty with only a change-up.
  12. The Dodgers bailed the SOX out of some bad contracts; the O's weren't so lucky.
  13. If that happens this season, Moon, I'm pretty sure Vegas would give the SOX the best odds in the AL of reaching the WS. But, obviously, that's a big IF.
  14. Well, he's got to continue paying Chris Davis.
  15. Btw, and I've posted this before, no one wants to see the pitcher bat except his parents and immediate family.
  16. And after Monday's game, the SOX will have played ten against the O's.
  17. Please play tonight; I don't want to watch 2 seven inning games on Sunday. I'm not a fan of 7 inning baseball. Btw, NL, don't use the purity of baseball excuse to deny the use of the DH. The purity of baseball has left the building.
  18. If the SOX had lost yesterday, it wouldn't have been a fart; it would have been something much lumpier.
  19. When one thinks about it, the only advantage the Yankems actually have over the SOX is their BP. Their starters are Cole and 4 other guys, who are nothing to write home about. I believe the SOX offense is better. Not sure about defense.
  20. Yesterday's game was a fart, an entertaining fart, but a fart non-the-less. You may still be smelling that.
  21. Very excellent breakdown of the below average season of hitting so far this season. Thanks for going the exrra yard again, Moon.
  22. Also noticed that low BA's are the rule not the exception. Cordero has a higher BA than Heyward of the Cubs.
  23. Watching the Cubs game and noticed that Baez is the RH version of Devers. Ferocious swing.
