  1. Josh has been, perhaps, the biggest surprise of the season. Before this season most here, including myself, wanted him gone. BTW, when I mentioned 'good pitching' I was referring to the SOX starters. My fault for not making that clear. The BP, for the most part, has been above average and is one of the main reasons the SOX are 15 games over .500.
  2. Here's a stat none of us who watch the games should be surprised seeing. The SOX are last in MLB in total walks at 182.
  3. It usually does, but haven't seen much good pitching in a while. EO proved it is possible.
  4. I believe it was Gowdy; Ned was interning at that time. Narragansett Beer was the only sponsor. Love me some Narragansett.
  5. That's referred to as improv umpiring. Something that might have been seen on SCTV.
  6. I watched that game on channel 38. I'm really old.
  7. So we're not going to be in Houston? Just disregard the thread title and enjoy the games.
  8. Day of rest for the SOX and Moon tomorrow.
  9. Well, it did take a perfect relay to get him out, so I'd give some credit to the SOX defense, which has been rare of late.
  10. Ah, another boring come from behinder. What's that 24 now? 10-2 in interleague play and also the best road record in MLB.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if Devers' future is DH.
  12. Is it safe to bring in Andriese? C'mon, ya know I'm kidding. Who do the SOX bring in? 2 innings from Taylor?
  13. Reminds me of those SOX/Yankem games from years past.
  14. So far the SOX have made a lie about pitching and defense wins.
