  1. Then similar to last year, we'll just have to hope this SOX BP is up to the task.
  2. With most of the SOX starters, with maybe the exception of EO, only going 5 or less innings most of the time, this will be a recurring problem.
  3. Nasty pitch. I doubt Miggy would have hit that in his prime.
  4. What may be a little food for concern is I doubt the SOX will face a weaker line-up than this current Tigers' line-up.
  5. Fans of Detroit sports have more reason to get drunk than any other city with multiple pro sports teams.
  6. Baseball is a game of minutes. And hours.
  7. With the rule that a reliever has to face a minimum of 3 batters makes it a dangerous proposition to bring in A. Davis. Hopefully, he'll prove me wrong as the season progresses.
  8. Of course, that year was before Miggy's 6 year extension.
  9. Yup, my bad. The Middlebrooks' fiasco at 3rd base.
  10. I'm pretty sure he alone brought a lot of fans to the park. Most great power hitters do.
  11. This is the sad truth about long term contracts, especially when the Tigers didn't even get a sniff of the WS during Miggy's years. Not sad for Miggy, of course, although, like all great players, he would have liked a WS ring. Somewhere Ernie Banks and Ted Williams are nodding their heads. Please, no frozen head jokes.
  12. Maybe all pitchers should have two TJ surgeries.
  13. Brain fart. I kept referring to him as Meggy. Went back and made corrections.
  14. I'd take any of the 4 to build a franchise around. They're the definition of 'top shelf' when it comes to hitting a baseball.
  15. EO putting up E-rod pitch count numbers.
  16. Miggy and Pujols. In their prime they were the two, imho, who were the best hitters in recent baseball history.
  17. Tiger fans really only have Miggy's 3000th hit and 600th double to root for this season. Miggy, a great ballplayer and a pleasure to watch over the years.
  18. Getting the Tigers' feed. They put up Devers' offensive stats from 2019 thru 2021 and where he ranked in MLB. Totally unbelievable.
  19. JBJ dELIVERS! C'mon, SOX, that's no way to treat a former teammate.
