    Exactly. I don't believe Cordero has embarrassed himself playing 1st base, in fact, like last night, he's made some damn nice plays there. I also believe that Ref and JBJ should platoon in RF, at least until Ref proves he can't play there effectively.

    Since being a SOX fan, I've had the pleasure of seeing Williams, Radatz, YAZ, Rice, Manny, Pedro, Ortiz, Pedey and now Devers. That's a pretty good list. Of course, there's been other very memorable players, but those guys were/are on the top of the shelf.

    One thing I've noticed while watching Devers at the plate. He very rarely checks his swing. He's pretty much committed to every swing he takes.

    A starter coming up from the SOX farm is always a cause for anxiety, but Winck wasn't drafted by the SOX, so he has that in his favor.
