Never a doubt. A little drama doesn't hurt and one thing the SOX BP can provide is drama.
  2. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
If there were only 2 outs to get out of an inning, the SOX would have a great BP.
  3. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Yup, with the Giants. Jesus, Matty and Felipe.
  4. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
At one time when Joe DiMaggio had the 56 game hit streak, his brother Dom had the second longest in the AL.
  5. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Very good, MOON, coming up with another brothers' act.
  6. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
If we limit it to post WWII, it would be Manny and David.
  7. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Hard to believe Dugo didn't anticipate an inside pitch.
  8. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
There's a few things that will never be seen again in MLB, but the one that tops my list is 3 brothers playing in the outfield at the same time on a major league team.

    DEVERS DEliVERS!

Comparing Mike Maddux to Greg Maddux is like comparing Tommy Aaron to Hank Aaron.
  11. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
JBJ continues his success hitting to opposite field.

Manny and Ortiz weren't Batman and Robin. They were Batman and Superman.
  13. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Agree. But not as good as the Manny/David duo. Not sure it's possible to set the bar higher than that.

Is Cordero Rizzo at 1st? No. Is he Dick Stuart at 1st? No. Cordero is somewhere in between.
  15. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Dugo still continues to jam himself on inside pitches. Hopefully, he'll make an adjustment sooner rather than later.
  16. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
It does make sense that if the SOX do have a rivalry with a NL team, it would be the Cards.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Speed kills on both sides of the ball.
  18. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Nice job by Wacha against a very good line-up.
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
The one guy who really likes Arroyo is Cora. That may be an issue.

When I played SS in HS back in the early 60's, I had a Wilson's Nellie Fox glove. The glove was juat a little bit bigger than the ball.
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    I hope you're right.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Another reason no one will ever hit .400 again is the size of the gloves.
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Making it 90 feet from homeplate to 1st base was a work of genius.
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I don't think the SOX FO should rush Kike back so quick. Take a couple more weeks to make sure he's really healthy. But seriously, when Kike returns should the SOX send down Duran or DFA Arroyo?
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    Until further notice.
