  1. I believe, and I may be wrong, that this is his first real slump of the season. But your point could definitely be a factor.
  2. I agree completely and Bloom really doesn't need to look for a 1st baseman.
  3. This is all true and I was blinded by his great throw outs this season. In Renfroe's defense, pardon the pun, he has been more of a positive addition to this team than a negative one. W/o him overachieving offensively this year along with his number of outfield assists, the SOX would probably be making plans right now to play golf.
  4. If they don't start winning some games, we can call them the 'so long gang.'
  5. Bobby Dee has definitely been a better contact hitter with 2 strikes than he was earlier in the season.
  6. JD has no clue, but he's not dealing with a contract year. Maybe next season he'll be more motivated.
  7. Kike in CF and VAZ are the only 2 SOX players who have a dWAR of 1 or over. VAZ has a dWAR of 1.0 and Kike has a dWAR of 1.5. A few days ago I mocked dWAR as it pertained to Renfroe; I thought it was too low. I was wrong.
  8. One of the best baseball 'bloopers' I'd ever seen was the flyball that came down and hit the top of Canseco's head and bounced over the fence for a HR.
  9. The SOX having runners on base is nice, but it pretty much negates them from hitting a HR.
  10. There's been a couple of 'bloopers' in this game, but the biggest 'blooper' was the ball bouncing out of Renfroe's glove.
  11. Moon, you left out solo HR's.
  12. Kike is the best defender on the SOX when he's in CF.
  13. I'd give him the Golden Arm award and just forget about the glove part.
  14. That error created a daily double. A run scored and increased pitch count.
  15. Even when errors don't produce runs, it still adds to the pitcher's pitch count. That both Seattle and the SOX are in contention makes one scratch his head.
  16. K's take the SOX defense? out of the equation.
  17. Can it actually be referred to as a 'defense?'
  18. EO should be pissed. Renfroe has a good arm; I'll stop at that.
  19. JD hits a solo HR. Solo HR's are one thing the SOX have done extremely well since late July. I'm guessing runners on base have been distracting the SOX batters.
  20. Can the SOX get 4 straight walks from this guy?
  21. EO would be the poster boy for intensity. He leaves everything on the field. But I agree that most of the SOX give the impression they're just going thru the motions. Devers may have been over intense in the last week or so.
