    You gents seemed surprised. The HP chUMPS have been atrocious for a good part of the season.

    I met Paul Quantrill back in 1989, during the YAZ HOF induction weekend. The SOX were supposed to play the Reds in an exhibition game, but the Reds were a no-show because of transportation problems. Instead, the SOX ended up playing against some of their minor leaguers including Paul, who was at Pawtucket at the time.

    One of these starters has a 5.06ERA and the other has a 9.13ERA and a career ERA of 7. So I would at least call them awful.
