  1. I'm pretty sure Schwarber will be working on playing 1st base during the offseason. Besides his good bat, Schwarber also brings intangibles to the SOX team, so I'm all for re-signing him. Dalbec could be part of a trade package used to aquire a decent pitcher.
  2. Houck has the demeanor on the mound to handle closing, so I would have no problem if that happens.
  3. Much of what Bloom does regarding pitching will be dictated on how Sale looks and feels prior to spring training.
  4. Ain't that the TRUTH!
  5. Re-signing Schwarber would be my 1st priority. Picking up some pitching would be my second.
  6. Extending Devers should be a no-brainer. He's 24 and his best years are ahead of him. Right now he's the best player on the team.
  7. I would be more pissed if the SOX traded Devers than I was when they traded Betts.
  8. Ain't that the TRUTH!
  9. Well, the SOX are better off than the Dodgers, especially with Scherzer complaining about a 'dead' arm.
  10. And an ardent SOX fan, which I am, would never be on a Yankem forum.
  11. OK, you've bombarded us with your condescending posts, but, at least, be honest for once and admit you're rooting for the Astros.
  12. Actually, I'm a firm believer in "it ain't over til it's over."
  13. I kind of feel sorry for the guy. He's doing his best. Why Cora put him on the roster makes no sense, but one never questions Cora.
  14. That broken bat turned into a spear and who knows what damage it could have done if he hadn't caught it. Best play of the game.
  15. What specific year are you referring to?
  16. Killer Clowns From Outer Space.
  17. Gurriel has definitely been a designated hitter today.
  18. Just hasn't been the SOX day/night. Thank you, Capt Obvious. Btw, did they ever give that fan a new bat after he caught Devers' broken one and saved some other fans' lives.
  19. When Perez is throwing, there should be an L-screen in front of him so he doesn't get hurt.
  20. The Yankem players like Boone. In today's baseball that's the biggest strength a manager can have. That and following analytics to a tee.
  21. Michael Myers isn't as scary as our SOX BP. Little Halloween humor there, very little.
  22. Smoltz is the kind of person you might bump into at your favorite watering hole. And within 5 minutes you want to punch him in the face.
