  1. Squirrels would provide better base running than a lot of these SOX players.
  2. Even w/o Sale the SOX still have enough pitching for a one game series.
  3. Ya mean like running in front of a car?
  4. Baserunning. Another strength in the SOX arsenal.
  5. Weakening the defense to keep JD in the line-up has paid big dividends.
  6. YUP, and getting swept by the Yankems in your own ballpark.
  7. IF the SOX win today!
  8. If there is a tie for a wild card spot and the SOX win today, the SOX won't play tomorrow. My bad. If the SOX win today, they won't play again until Tuesday. If the Yankems lose today and the Mariners and Jays win, then the SOX won't play until Wednesday.
  9. He can also be traded, which I think Bloom will attempt during the offseason.
  10. If this is Bogey's last season with the SOX, he's going with a whimper, not a bang.
  11. In the minors this season Joan had an ERA just under 5. So he's bad enough to give the SOX problems.
  12. 18 to be exact. Needs to be more economical if he plans on going more than 5.
  13. SOX haven't seen Joan before, so that usually is an advantage to the pitcher.
  14. When I first saw on the schedule that the Nats were starting a pitcher named Joan Adon, my first thought was is this the first female to appear in a MLB game? It turned out that Joan was a guy, but either way, the SOX shouldn't lose to a Joan. Btw, my favorite Joan is Joan Jett.
  15. Head scratcher. All I know for sure is that if the SOX win tomorrow, they will have home field advantage in the WC no matter what the other 3 teams do. Their season record at home reflects that it is an advantage.
  16. The best scenario for the SOX is that they win tomorrow and the other three finish tied. This would send the WC game to Wednesday instead of Tuesday. It would also mess up the starting plans for whomever wins the 3 game playoff and wear out their BP a little. Definitely advantageous for the SOX.
  17. I certainly hope the BP can go on adrenalin tomorrow. BP=Brassier, Robles,Richards, Whitlock(don't know his availability, seems like a secret) and then it's potluck.
  18. This was one of those "in spite of" wins.
  19. Well, they'll have to find some, because, unless EO is pitching tomorrow, BP time will start no later than the 6th and maybe earlier.
  20. The SOX BP provides more drama than Alfred Hitchcock ever dreamed of.
  21. Let me modify this post "if the SOX can win today and tomorrow."
  22. That would only pertain to homefield advantage if they were already in the WC.
