Even though Houck isn't starting, if he was starting, Houck going the distance would garner the same odds as me going the distance in the Boston Marathon. A million to one.
Watching the Cubs getting destroyed by the Yankems again. There appears to be more crappy baseball teams than normal this season, the Cubs being one of them. I guess we should be happy that the SOX aren't in that large group so far this season.
After the checking the pitching stats of the BP, it appears that Austin Davis has been the SOX most reliable reliever. He leads in innings pitched(24) and his ERA is at 1.50.
You're right; I had forgotten about that and I also forgot who the guy was I struck out. It's a bitch being dead. I just wish that the AL had implemented the DH when I was playing. Those morons waited too long.
Because BP's are a major part of modern baseball, a moron at handling the BP would pretty much, imho, disqualify him from being a good manager. But I could be wrong.
Actually, they're protected by the Umpires' Union, that does nothing to improve umpiring in MLB. The union is still pissed that MLB called in Scabs when the regular umps went on strike. This is how they're getting even.
Speaking of chUMPIRES, Laz Diaz, who's working balls and strikes, is rated the 6th worst umpire in MLB. With the huge number of bad chUMPS, that must be a very complicated rating system.
