  1. The slower the ball rolls to the OF the more bases the runners can take.
  2. Kike's a good defensive CF, but JBJ is from another planet defensively.
  3. Probably the HR, but probably not the double by Ohtani.
  4. Not that it matters, but I'm thinking JBJ catches that ball by Trout.
  5. That s/b St Louis, not Atlanta.
  6. Shite, I don't care how many games the Yankems win. The SOX are chasing a PO spot, which is more realistic than chasing the Yankems. Btw, in 2001 Seattle won 116 games during the regular season and didn't win the WS. OTOH, in 2006 Atlanta won 83 games in the regular season and went on to win it all.
  7. I predict that Maddon will either be offered a managerial position before this season ends, or during the off season. Like someone here mentioned, it's called recycling.
  8. I guess my generation likes teams more than individual players. When a player from my team leaves, for example Betts, I couldn't care less about him. I personally would never 'like' a player on the Yankems, but, at the same time, I can respect that player, for example, Jeter. Btw, my favorite player on the planet right now is Devers, but what the hell, I'm a SOX fan.
  9. Not only is he dumb, but he's proud of it.
  10. I believe VAZ deserves more love than he gets around here.
  11. Fuhgettaboutit. Btw, Vegas, bring a sign that says in big letters "I LOVE MATT BARNES" so I can see where you're sitting during the game.
  12. Hey, Vegas, enjoy the game tonight. If you communicate with Devers, please ask him if he'll take a hometown discount on his next contract?
  13. Since 1946 this is a list of pitchers who have had 30 or more complete games: 1946-Bob Feller 36 1952-Robin Roberts 30 1953-Robin Roberts 33 1965-Juan Marichal 30 1971-Fergie Jenkins 30 1972-Steve Carlton 30 1975-Catfish Hunter 30 Btw, in 2016 Chris Sale led MLB with 6 and that's the most since 2016. So far in 2022 there have been 10 complete games in MLB.
  14. I'm not a Bloom basher, but I'll still give him some love.
  15. Trying not to be over-excited, but the SOX starting staff is looking dangerous. I admit being surprised and anyone here that says they aren't is lying.
  16. Fantastic performance by Wacha. Based on how starting pitching is managed, having 3 complete games in less than a month is about as rare as having 3 no-hitters.
  17. This chUMP has a lot of company in his f'ing union.
  18. Bad call, but it's so common, it's pretty much expected.
  19. Should Wacha go nine? Tough call. I would let him start the 9th.
  20. No timely hitting in this game.
  21. It may not be this year, but it won't be too long before someone, whom I like very much, will be replacing Trout as the greatest everyday ballplayer.
  22. Not counting politicians, there is no profession that has more incompetent people than MLB chUMPIRES. However, NHL referees run a close second.
  23. Even with all the hype he's getting now, Ohtani will never pass Ichiro Suzuki as the greatest Japanese player to ever play MLB.
  24. Not that JD has transformed into a slap hitter, it's a shame he's so slug-like on the bases.
