  1. True. With or w/o multiple hits.
  2. Giving credit where credits due. The SOX this season were very successful beating teams that had a worse record than themselves. It was mainly the remaining teams that were a problem.
  3. Interesting that the SOX manager would have two of his better hitters sitting out tonight with no game tomorrow. Lucky for Cal Ripken that he never played for Cora.
  4. Maybe the worst 5 innings of pitching by a starter where he only gave up 1 run that I've ever seen.
  5. A depressing looking ballpark(The Maus) + A depressing looking team(SOX)=Clinical Depression.
  6. One major thing an average pitcher(Pivetta) doesn't need is a s***** chUMP calling strikes balls.
  7. Lead-off double=kiss of death.
  8. When the SOX play at the Maus, the only thing uglier than the ballpark is the SOX.
  9. This is not a game thread. I guess it takes all kinds.
  10. Cash is, imho, the best manager in baseball. Cora, not so much. Btw, Cash giving his runner the steal sign was aided by the fact that Cora still had rag arm Plaw behind the plate.
  11. C'mon, MAX, you must have some personal connection with Cora. I don't believe you are Cora, but who knows? The only other explanation I can come up with is that you like belonging in a cult.
  12. Yup, they're a 'now' team, but will end up being a 'nowhere' team early in the PO's. Oh, unless they play the Twinkies in the 1st round.
  13. This will make Cora's job easier. And making his job 'easier' is a good thing for the rest of us.
  14. SOX have to re-sign Wacha. He's a pro. Didn't have his best stuff today and still only gave up 2 runs after 6.
  15. Another QS for Wacha, but I was hoping for 7. Based on who was available in the pen, I doubt even 7 would have made a difference.
  16. That would have been a timely clutch hit, but
  17. He must have thought Dugo was going to slide head first.
  18. There's a Ty Cobb moment, except Ty wouldn't be concerned.
  19. SOX are missing those kind of pitchers.
  20. Does a foul bat count as a strike out?
  21. So Cora knows the Rays like to run and in a close game he leaves his weakest throwing catcher in the game. Please defend that.
  22. That's a given. But Cora was more at fault than Plawecki.
  23. He barely made it because of the weak throw.
