  1. Pham Dugo Bogey Devers JD Arroyo Casas Kike McGuire Pham has a career BA against Cole of .429, including a HR, relating to a total of 21 AB's.
  2. As far as the disallowing of the shift next season, I have no problem with that because just like lowering the mound and employing DH's it will add offense to the game. However, if I was putting this new rule together, I would allow a team to use the shift a certain arbitrary number of times during the game. Hell, MLB has numbers for mound visits, how many batters a reliever must face, and next season how many times a pitcher can throw to 1st base. Just my 2 cents.
  3. Besides the time clock and limited throws to 1st base, the rule of disallowing the shift will also not benefit the pitcher. Robo umps will probably not benefit the batter or the pitcher.
  4. Btw, I'm still waiting for Dugo to prove that he can't play RF. Not saying he can or can't, just saying I haven't seen any proof.
  5. Since the lowering of the mound after the 1968 season and the advent of the DH rule in the mid '70's, has there been any rules past, present and coming next year that ever benefitted or will benefit the pitcher? I can't think of any.
  6. Twinkies fading fast from PO hunt. The only ones sadder about that than the Twinkie fans are the Yankems.
  7. Strahm definitely pumped.
  8. Good for you, Strahm. It's about time. FU Odor.
  9. Damn, Story, the SOX have JD in the line-up to do that. At least a strike out only produces one out.
  10. Excellent 5 innings today by Hill.
  11. Devers defensive improvement reminds me of Graig Nettles. Nettles was all bat and no glove in his early years of major league baseball but developed into a very good defensive 3rd baseman.
  12. He's a likable player. He's gonna give the SOX 100% in every game he plays.
  13. For those interested in run differential only one team in MLB with a losing record has a plus run differential. The Giants(66-73) have a +4. Also, only one team in MLB with a winning record has a minus run differential. The White Sox(72-68) have a -4.
  14. Big win for the SOX in that it improves their run differential, which now reads -34.
  15. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm getting bored with all of these SOX blowouts of other teams for like the 70th time.
  16. They said it was straight from the rule book.
  17. Just learned from the O's feed that a position player can only be brought in to pitch if the opposing team has at least a 7 run lead.
  18. And, of course, Story makes an error. Being complimentary about a SOX player this year only leads to trouble.
  19. So far this season I've been more impressed with Story's defense than his offense.
  20. Bogey has the best 'check swing' in MLB.
  21. Geez, you'd think Wacha had never pitched with a 9 run lead before.
  22. Excellent D from Story. He's been money at 2nd base this year.
  23. Having Wacha on this SOX pitching staff is like having a Van Gogh hanging on the wall of a Goodwill.
