  1. Cora should have PH'd for him, but your idea isn't a bad one.
  2. Hard to argue with that. Love to see him be a future SOX manager.
  3. Yup, I met him during the YAZ HOF induction. One of the nicest guys one could ever meet. As a player he had the added responsibility of keeping Williams in line. On and off the field.
  4. That should sell more JBJ jerseys. Maybe he should bring his glove to the plate instead of a bat.
  5. Who do you consider the classiest player to wear a SOX uniform? I'm going with Ryan Dempster.
  6. It still appears that the scientists at the Robotic Institute haven't adjusted JD's launch angle.
  7. Funny how so many MLB players ignore the basic fundamentals. And I'm not just referring to the SOX.
  8. VAZ and Dugo continue to get the ire of posters here while higher priced spreads get a pass.
  9. So dis the guy that's actually hitting the baseball.
  10. Bello's got those DP's working for him tonight.
  11. Good idea, MOON. The SOX may get a Whopper of a deal if Burger King is involved.
  12. I beg to differ. Those happy meals just scream of quality. If I was trading JD to Taco Bell, then I would agree with you.
  13. Woodruff must feel like he's having a rehab start against an A ball team.
  14. Then trade him to McDonalds for a happy meal.
  15. How about $20.00/hr plus a paid hour lunch break?
  16. Here's a sign that should be hanging above the entrances at Fenway: "If you like home team offense, then what the hell are you doing here?"
  17. A pitcher's best friend except for his agent.
  18. SOX probably won't get much for JD, so he might as well remain for the rest of the season and hopefully the SOX can get a decent compensatory prospect.
  19. Buchholz was perhaps the fastest runner on the SOX in his prime.
  20. The first time Uecker was on the Carson show he told Johnny that when he was a kid the house he and his parents lived in caught on fire. He added that the only thing that survived was the bathroom. Carson asked Bob how did that happen? Uecker replied that the bathroom was 20 feet from the house.
  21. Back in the day when most teams didn't have a 9 or 10 guys in the BP, a player like Duran could stay on a team as a pinch runner.
  22. Is Yelich going to be the Chris Davis of the Brewers?
