  1. Devers was motivated to score on that errant throw because he knew Duvall was on deck.
  2. Here's an interesting stat. The SOX are 51-3 when leading after 6 innings. Best mark in MLB.
  3. Schmidt is a good pitcher. 19 quality starts before today's game, which is 3rd in MLB.
  4. If I'm not mistaken, Devers went about 20 games recently with a total of 3 RBI.
  5. Seems like this F'ing chUMP is favoring the Yankem pitcher on close pitches.
  6. If Devers 'hot' streak can last as long as his 'cold' streak, the SOX will be in pretty good shape.
  7. Even Bader was walking towards the dugout.
  8. So far Story has been an expensive IL and glove.
  9. Arguably, Jeter didn't do the Yankems a favor.
  10. Surprised that Stanton's not in the Yankem line-up. I'm glad he's not because even muscular blind squirrels, well you know the rest. I did enjoy Stanton getting booed yesterday.
  11. I originally thought that Devers' HR was way over 400 feet, but then I remembered what a pathetically short porch there is in RF.
  12. DEVERS DEliVERS! He's getting hot at the right time.
  13. For an everyday player to raise his BA 24 points this late in the season in only 4 games is unheard of.
  14. Based on the won/lost percentage of opponents for the SOX 39 final games, they will have the toughest remaining schedule in MLB. If they make the PO's, they definitely will have earned it.
  15. Update: 17-21. Four straight games of 4 hits or more.
  16. IMHO, Dugo is an excellent defensive RF. I've been disappointed in his hitting, however. I thought this season with the shift no longer allowed that Dugo would show much improved offensive numbers. That hasn't happened, but there are still about 40 games left, so let's hope for the best.
  17. Speaking of hitting, J-Rod of the Mariners over his last 4 games, including today, is 16-20. He's raised his average from .256 to .278. He's not just hot, he's scalding hot.
  18. With Story, Reyes and Urias that's some pretty damn good depth in the middle of the infield. Bodes well for the future.
  19. Btw, Wong's catch of that bunt was, for lack of a better word, Amazing.
  20. Also, Cole's ERA entering today's game was 2.76; it is currently 3.03.
  21. Btw, with today's win the SOX clinch the 13 game series against the Yankems. So they're 7-3 against the Jays and 7-1 against the Yankems. The SOX are 3 games under .500 against everyone else.
  22. Cole is 4-5 with a 5.86ERA against the SOX in 11 starts since the beginning of the 2021 season. He's given up 41 runs in 63 innings pitched. If that's not ownership, it's pretty damn close.
  23. For a lot of you this is not great news. It appears the the Dodgers/SOX game on Aug 25th will also be televised on Apple+.
  24. How about he's an average LF who's also hitting over .300. That would be good enough for most MLB teams.
  25. The batters are allowed one timeout during each plate appearance.
