  1. Jarren 'Double your pleasure' Duran.
  2. Actually compared to other high priced spreads in MLB this season, Devers is doing much better offensively overall than most of them. Soto, Correa, Machado, and the list goes on. Acuna. jr, imho, is the best everyday player in MLB. Well, I forgot about Ohtani and Judge. It's close.
  3. Lead-off double that doesn't score. We've been exposed to that the last couple of years.
  4. SOX have something very rare in their line-up compared to rest of MLB; two .300 hitters.
  5. After being exposed to the irritating Conehead over the weekend, Youk is almost a relief.
  6. I believe he's referring to The MATS.
  7. Looks like it's 'dress up as an empty seat night' at the ballpark.
  8. 10,000 mistakes? A lot of excellent rock artists and bands came from there, so I'll give them that.
  9. All of the above pales compared to the tragedy of Tony C's life.
  10. A side note on the Herb Score injury. Gil McDougald, who hit Score in the eye with his liner, at the time stated he would retire from baseball if Score's vision didn't return to his injured eye.
  11. On deck batters and pitchers are most at risk for serious injuries on hard hit balls. Herb Score was more closely related to what happened to Houck, except Score was hit in the eye. He did recover and didn't lose eyesight in his injured eye, but he was never the same pitcher afterwards. Batters are the most at risk for serious injuries. Anyone who says baseball isn't a physically dangerous game is an idiot.
  12. i'm not sure a cracked cheek bone is escaping major injury, but, fortunately, his eye was not involved.
  13. Vegas was just repeating what many on this board have already been saying, including myself. If the SOX get into another losing streak(hopefully not) those criticisms will come back around. But, like you said, enjoy the moment. Sweeping the Yankems is always a delight.
  14. Hopefully, Judge will still be out of the line-up.
  15. 700 was the perfect straight man for your punch line. You beat me to it.
  16. 5-1 against the Yankems so far this season. 7 more left to play. So there's that. Sweep!
  17. Atrocious is being too kind.
  18. I'd use him strictly for security. In case a bunch of professional crooks tried to rob Fenway. Hm, sounds like an idea for a movie.
  19. I agree it's a relatively small SS, but can you name a starter, drafted by the SOX, and pitching for the SOX, who has been as effective as Bello has been this far since Buchholz?
  20. Of course, I'd never say this to Stanton's face, because I know I couldn't outrun him. I'm definitely speed challenged.
  21. Stanton could be best described as a muscle-bound albatross.
  22. 6 has been prevalent lately.
  23. I guess there's now two truths that have turned into lies. 1) No one's above the law, and 2) there's no such thing as a one-man team.
