The announcers blow and their team sucks.
  2. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Homeless or houseless. What's the damn difference if you're sleeping outside?
  3. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    Pivettabout this one.
  4. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I believe she was homeless. That was the rumor anyway.
  5. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Wally needs some street cred. But I thought it was a manly thing to do to allow his homeless sister to move in with him. Btw, is the sister's name Walleen?

The 2 guys in the Rockies' booth are arguing why O'Neili isn't in the line-up. One says it's because the SOX always platoon; the other guy says you should always keep the hot guy in the line-up. I thought they were going to come to blows.
  7. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
This is true, plus the Phanatic seems to get more TV time than Wally. Probably because of the 4-wheeler. Let's do a 'fund me' for Wally.
  8. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
The SOX actually have a better road record than the Phils. The big difference is that the Phils are playing .700 at home.
  9. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I agree, except for the fact that O'Neill is an excellent defensive outfielder.
  10. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Well, against RH's his platoon system has been very successful, so no reason to change. I should have realized that before I made the O'Neill post.
  11. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I guess the numbers do speak for themselves.
  12. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Hopefully, Abreu will have some good at bats, but taking a hot hitter out of the line-up, to me, makes no sense.
  13. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
That Notin guy definitely knows his shite.
  14. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Short-term memory loss. Actually, not a bad thing if one has been a SOX fan the last few years.
  15. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
One last thing; the SOX are 1-4 so far on this road trip and they've scored 5 or more runs in all 5 games.

I chose Witt because he plays SS very well, he hits very well and he's young. That's a hard to beat trifecta. Oh, I almost forgot, he's also a fast runner.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Fantastic job by Criswell tonight. Btw, since June 20TH, the Rockies have hit more HR's (45) than any other team in MLB.
  18. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I love Duran, but Witt is only 24. What still amazes me is that Devers is only 27. Devers is actually about 2 months younger than Duran.
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Who would be your 1st pick?
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Very good point. I believe the SOX probably, and I can't prove it, draft more high schoolers than anyone.
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Btw, coming into tonight's games, Bobby Witt, Jr is 12-15 since the all-star break. If I was starting a new team and I could pick any player in MLB to be on it, Witt, Jr would be my first pick.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I'm just guessing, but Betts probably would have been a very good CF'r, but the SOX did have Bradley, who was in a class of his own defensively.
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Rockies announcers also made a point I totally agree with that the everyday SS is usually the best athlete on the field. They mentioned that during the MLB draft, SS's, more than any other position, are picked mainly because of their athleticism.
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
That is correct, but it was a discussion of an everyday player excelling at those two positions.
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Let's hope that doesn't turn into a problem.
