The Rockies' booth was talking about Rafaela and how rare it is for an elite CF to also be a very good SS. The only other player they could think of was Robin Yount. I believe, based on his athleticism, that the oft injured Story would have also been a very good CF'r. I'm sure the same thing would hold true for Betts.

I guess it's a good thing Molina didn't start the game for the Rockies.

O'Neill is doing what a professional hitter should do against a rag arm. Well done, Tyler.

Based on Bryant's injury history, he would have been a perfect fit for the SOX.

Maybe we will see Dom on the mound tonight.

Watching the Mets/Yankems game and discovered our ol' buddy JD is 14 for his last 73 with a slugging % of .295.

Dom Smith or Mr Anderson? That's a tough call. Of course, Cora can't use DOM unless he has a 10 run lead or is behind by 10. With a lesser runs scored game, he wouldn't use Mr. Anderson, unless he was the only one left. With Mr Anderson and Horn on the SOX, it has to be damn scary how bad the pitching must be on the farm.

I agree with Cora's "we have a pretty good team." I also agree with those who say it's not good enough. The 'not good enough' is strictly in the hands of the FO and ownership.

Breslow to an MLB team's GM: "Hey, that RH batter we were discussing for a trade. Ah, nevermind, we won't need him."

Won't get fooled again. Yeah, we will. We always do.

The great turnaround started last Friday.
  12. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    Goodwill doesn't accept returns.
  13. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Mr Anderson. He didn't throw many pitches, so he should be available tomorrow.
  14. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Devers may deliver, but Blackmon is straight from Deliverance.
  15. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    I hope Horn hasn't unpacked.
  16. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    No, not at this time.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
They're bringing in the Horn section.
  18. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    That's a tough one. Can I call a friend?
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    Abreu comes thru.
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
So Kenley is on altitude leave. At least it's original.
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    He has other surrender options.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Game saving play by Rafaela. At least for now.
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Overachieving is hard to sustain over a 162 game schedule.
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
At least the balk didn't hurt him.
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
And here I thought The Natural was unbelievable.
