Another 20 game winner was Derek Lowe in 2002, when he was 21-8. After he was acquired by the Dodgers following the 2004 season, he had a 54-48 record with a very respectable 3.60 ERA during his 4 seasons in LA. Lowe was also excellent for the Sox during the 2004 WS, after a not so great 2004 regular season. All in all, Lowe was a very good pitcher.

The last 20 game winner for the Sox was Rick Porcello in 2016 when he was 22-4 and won the CY.

Sonny has probably at least 9 starts remaining this regular season, so 20 wins is doable.

Interesting fact: Sonny is 14-2, which means the rest of the Sox pitchers as a group are one game under .500.

After the Sox lost 2 of 3 to the terrible Rockies is when this unreal run began. Did the ghost of Rod Sterling visit the clubhouse after the Rockies' series? Are the Sox in that place known as The Twilight Zone?

I'm gonna modify a post I made a few weeks ago. At that time I'd posted that Durbin was the best defensive 3rd baseman I'd seen on the Sox since Beltre. I've changed my mind. Durbin is the best defensive 3rd baseman I've ever seen on the Sox.

Contreras is one strong individual. He also hit a 492 foot homer during the HR Derby. The longest hit during the derby.
